It’s been months since I’ve had dinner at Village Inn. Decided on the turkey/dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, Texas toast with a side of green beans. I have to say this place is my new favorite. They are always so kind and the food is delicious. They even have a little book bin where you can take a book or leave a book for the littles to enjoy. In their downtime, they even clean UNDERNEATH the tables!?! So clean and such wonderful service - take a moment and visit this place. You will be blessed by your experience. My boyfriend and I have been coming here every Sunday for the past 2 months and never had poor service, bad food or a long wait. Great place. However, it's always a long wait for my to go orders. The longest I had to wait was 45 mins. After I received my food, the order was incorrect. Despite the small issues I have with them sometimes they always rectify it by replacing my food, giving me my money back, or sometimes they do both. I do recommend this wonderful family atmosphere. The ladies I had the pleasure of being served by were absolutely the loveliest people I've ever met. I'd told them just by passing that I'd had a bad day and they gifted me a slice of pie on the house! I'd never had anyone be so nice to me before. I definitely suggest trying the savory pancakes they have available, they're so good! I've eaten breakfast here a couple of times and food and service have been very good. Bacon and cheddar omelet and hash browns were served hot and were very tasty. There was plenty of hot coffee. If I could give this place less than one star I would. whenever we go in there. My food is always cold, if it's not cold. It's overcooked or undercut. It takes fifteen to twenty minutes to get drinks and another fifteen or twenty minutes after that to get our cold under cooked food. When I speak to the managers about it, they are rude degrading and disrespectful. when my mother talks to him. They're kind of sweet and very nice. I have never felt so disrespected and invisible in my entire life as I have today when the manager completely ignored me about my food. Be better off eating at McDonald's. At least you can get it hot and on time without being hassled and made to feel like you're a scumbag for wanting your food, right. I've lived here for 5 years and I'm kicking myself in the butt that I have never gone there until recently. I love the food and you can't go wrong with anything. Service is excellent there's like minimal waiting for your food. The Cook's, oh my they do a great job of preparing your food, the hosts, hostesses and waitresses have all been very nice.
