Local restaurant without view but good food. Food is a bit sweet but it is typical for southern food. Tasty, good quality with a reasonable size. Lots of parking space, easy to find located in the main local road. The staff is friendly and ready to serve. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

2024 and 2023: sea bass in lemon, garlic, chilli tasted spectacular. (Here called fish in lemon.) This is one of the few seafood places properly doing this world class dish. Price depends on type of fish, from about ฿400 upwards. Grilled giant tiger shrimp (฿550, rather like lobster) was sweet and juicy - not spicy at all. Battered shrimp was good but only 5 pieces. Scallops in butter and garlic are much smaller than in western countries but so sweet and delicious. Soft shell crab in garlic was great sometimes and the garlic was burnt other times. Mixed vegetables were in an excellent, delicate sauce but the vegetables were too coarsely cut. Tom yum goong was a disappointment. Chu chee gung (฿250) was delicious despite being much more spicy/hot than expected, having specified ped nit noy. This tended to be the same with all the spicy-hot dishes we tried so we did not order them more than once. Free watermelon is provided at the end of the meal. There is a Thai and English menu with lots of pictures. At lunchtimes there appeared to be no staff who spoke any English but sometimes, in the evenings, one or two staff spoke surprisingly good English. (We tended to prefer lunchtimes because of fewer mosquitoes.) There were ample staff; someone was always available (not always the case in most places) and provided good enough service. It’s a large open air place with lots of tables, some breeze and is really lit up at night so it cannot be missed. Down the side it opens into plenty of parking. It’s on the other side of the road from Ban Monchale apartments /estate, no view despite name.
Delicious seafood in Cha Am. While not seaside, this is a lovely family-run place with great fresh offerings even post-peak hour, reasonably priced, and great service. Ordered most of their recommended dishes and found that they were all very tasty except the fish tom yum tend toward the sour side (for those who prefer sour). When we got there, the big squids were gone so they made their signature sun-dried squid menu with the tiny squid which gave the dish an extra level of bounciness (loved it!). We called to check whether they were open for dine-in (Google maps said closed - don't believe it, they're open now! And very well prepared and hygienic (sprays, gels, soaps everywhere)) and the daughter was very up front about the unusual busyness and promised to call back after verifying - 5 stars for service. We were lucky we went off-peak, understand that food might be slow during peak hour because the parents cooked everything themselves.

The name of restuarant means ocean view but it does not have ocean view. Most food were good at the reasonable price. Seafoods were very fresh and good quality but super hard to get waitress to take order or reorder. They serve water mellon for free at the end of meal. Price per person ฿300–400
Fresh seafood in relaxing and family friendly ambience. The place is spacious with plenty of tables and parking spaces. We ordered stir fried crab meat with yellow chillies (ปูผัดพริกเหลือง) tom yum, stir fried crab with basil and fried seabass with fish sauce. They were all tasty. One point was deducted for fried rice and fried melinjo leaves which were a bit too sweet. When we visited the restaurant, there weren't that many tables and food was fast to serve. There was a sign from the owner that during peak season, the food may be slower than expected. Note: the restaurant does NOT have sea view despite the name "sea view".
My favourite restaurant at Cha-am, more than 3 times visit this place, from the old kitchen to renovated one. Family run, use to be slow service but now improving! Quite busy, lots of customer comes during dinner. Quality of seafood is the best, tomyum pla koa is unforgettable, nice taste. Other dishes are very good too! Lots of car park and they give the watermelon slices for free after meal.
Ingredient are fresh and generous portion. The size of seafood are also quite nice. I find the overall taste a little too sweet for my liking. They’re also pet friendly. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ฿500–600 Recommended dishes ปลากระพงทอดน้ําปลา

The food was good and service was nice. However, this new branch is not on the seaside. So the name view talay restaurant is from the original location. No seaview here. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ฿300–400 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
I recommend you to have dinner here. This restaurant have various seafood to order which very fresh, affordable and delicious. One of the most impressive thing is the owner is extremely kind and hospitality. One thing that I have to warn is the source is a bit spicy so if you can't effort it please drop a little but if you want to challenge must try!!!
