Our experience at Vietnamese Cafe was amazing. I ordered the jalapeño chicken with fried rice (rice is not extra but is not listed on the menu as included) and a mango boba tea. I enjoyed both and look forward to trying other dishes next time we visit! My fiancée ordered the lunch-portion curry chicken with hot and sour soup and a spring roll - she couldn’t stop eating them they were so tasty! To me, their peanut sauce really stood out - it may take first place of all the ones we’ve tried in Denver. Our friend who joined us ordered the pho and was very impressed too. Lastly, the service we received was spectacular. Or waitress was so attentive and kind she boxed our food for us! I order take out from here at least once a week, and I always ask for specific things (no bean sprouts, no crushed peanuts) and they ALWAYS get it correct. I’m amazed at their attention to detail and the consistency of their commitment to delicious food. I love the noodle bowls & the pho. Best broth EVER. Food is great, a little over priced for a fast casual place though. Flavors are always on point! The service is always good. The down side to those place is Restrooms definitely need a remodel, and parking is often a pain in the butt! Would honestly never come here again. My bf and I came here on 12/12/23. Server was short, quick and had airpods in. She seemed like she wanted to get us out. All the other servers were super nice and friendly except her. I just thought maybe she’s having a bad day but we were the only blk people in there. The wontons were not good and it was like 80% cream cheese and 10% crab. We decided to take it to go halfway between the meal. Bf didn’t want me to tip but i’ve worked in the food industry for 4 years so i know it’s hard. I tipped 3 dollars and she changed it to 8. i’ve called multiple times to discuss this but no answer. No integrity is whatsoever. I reccomend any other pho place in thorton! Even tho it’s 5 extra dollars it’s the principal. This is literally the best Vietnamese food in the north side of town. We do eat here at least twice a month. Try the lemongrass chicken, it's outstanding. It ever dissappoints with consistency with all dishes. Unhurried atmosphere. Try the soft shell crab appetizer as a starter. Their Vietnamese egg rolls are the best on the north. Fresh Spring rolls. This is the peanut sauce we measure other restaurants by. Delicious!! Noodle Bowls are superb. Fish sauce—drinkable. Coconut curry-what dreams are made of. Good service. All I can say is, no matter how much of a pain, you need to check your order accuracy if you ordered to go. We ordered mushrooms in our pho, which cost a ridiculous $2.50 per order extra, and then didn't even get them. We also ordered hoisen and garlic chili sauce on the side, only to find they mixed the two in one container, but it wasn't even garlic chili sauce; they used Sriracha instead. The pho broth was alright, nothing spectacular, but the meatballs were REALLY chewy. We really had high hopes given the positive reviews, so I really hope our experience was related to poor staff, since they weren't even busy, and not quality.
