Surprisingly good! Portions were extra large enough for two. Sit outside and enjoy the nice breeze and people watch. Easy access to the church across and other restaurants and shops on the same strip.

Tried the local meal of 'Chivito' here - essentially a piece of beef with bacon, fried egg, salad, chips and a bit more. Tasted good, only about 10 USD each. Fresh OJ was excellent. FYI, an 18% discount is applied automatically to your credit card when paying at restaurants as a tourist in Colonia - so use this instead of cash to save a bit more! The pasta was amazing and the orange juice unbeatable ! Everything was homemade and yummy. The service was amazing, the waiter guy is very funny and helpful. I didn’t love the back part of the restaurant but the front and the outside looks lovely :) Definitely a place to recommend. Thanks ! My wife and I shared a delicious meal at Viejo Barrio which has prime time location, across the street from the oldest basilica in Uruguay. The menu is an interesting mix of local and Italian cuisine with all of the pastas made in-house. We strongly suggest the past with the addition of chicken or fish, however, our neighbors fish and Milanese dishes looked superb as well. Pricey, but that’s just how it is in Colonia del Sacramento - here you at least get value.

We had a great dinner here. The setting was wonderful, the waiter a real pro who enjoyed his job, and the food quite good too, although we had to add salt as they said it is trendy right now to be without much salt. Wine was very tasty too--good enough to split a liter rather than just a half!
