It’s been some time since I visited there with a friend on an excursion from Denver to Fort Laramie. We really liked the little town, but as with any place, you’ll miss out on 90% of it if you don’t take time to meet any of the people there. We found Vickie’s Saloon, and there we got to experience Fort Laramie. It was just a great place to relax, and we met some of the nicest people there who just didn’t know a stranger. There was nothing fancy about the place, and that was the whole charm. The people made it. Vickie was still there at the time, and she was a hoot! There are new owners now, but I’ll bet it’s just as friendly and welcoming as always. I can’t wait to return there someday!
The food was alright and the drinks were nice, but the place kids smelled like smoke, but if you like that smell that place is for you,you can smoke and they have TVs but did not have them on when I went. Overall it was an alright place to stop at.
A friendly little place. It’s for sale in case you want a thriving bar. Saw a bunch of folks go in and come out with soda and ice. Still serving food and drink. They require 6ft of social distancing but no masks (totally their choice). They have a curbside ordering option.
