Vernon did an amazing job on my daughters 15th bday cake! She absolutely loved it! Not only that, the staff was pleasant. Vernon was very friendly and easy to talk to. And everything was done on time. We will be back again and again for his delicious cakes and treats!! Thank you Vernon!!

I had my 21st birthday this week and Vernon made the perfect cake for my party. The cake was not only beautiful but it was delicious too. Vernon’s prices are very reasonable for the taste, presentation, and effort he puts into his work!! I could not have asked for a better cake!!

Did a wedding cake / cupcake tower for us. Absolutely delicious and looked as good as it taste. Vernon is an extremely professional and friendly baker. He listened to our ideas and helped us make decisions that we had NO idea on how to make. Communication was great. On time and just an all around great customer experience. Will definitely use Vernon in the future!

Im from Boston and one section of the city is called The North End. Thats where bakeries make recipes handed down for generations from “the motherland”. It boasts some of the best pastries you will ever have. Vernon’s has the best coconut cream pie I have had since i came from boston! Ive traveled all over the country, and the world, and his bakery is in my top 5. So glad hes in Wilkesboro! Plus, hes a really nice guy. 1,000% recommend! Oh, his homemade breads are fantastic too!

Vernon's cakes have always been superb, we always order our cakes for all the events we hold for the Marine Corps League. As a veteran organization we have no complaints, he has always provided what we asked for.

This place is awesome! Especially loved the sour dough bread and the red velvet cupcakes. Everything I bought was delicious and I received great and friendly service! Prices are also very reasonable!

Didn’t make it to the bakery before they closed but they had a kiosk for Merlefest attendees. Y’all - this cake was WONDERFUL. I am very very picky, and this cake was great. Not too sweet and a good amount of flavor (I got chocolate cake with vanilla frosting). Cake was the right texture. My husband and father liked it too. Highly recommend!

We ordered a cheesecake with a chocolate ganache topping for a birthday party. It was amazing! Vernons other treats are also amazing! I’ve had a apple spice cake, cookies and cupcakes. All were delicious! It’s such a tucked away little business but it’s worth it to find it and treat yo self as often as you can! Thanks Vernon!!
