Wow, wow, and wow! We were in town for a short 5 night stay to watch our grandchildren while our son and Dil had taken a birthday trip to Austin, Texas.
During their absence, we pulled together a surprise Austin Texas birthday party. Thanks to Jim & Kristy at Vanilla Bean for creating this master piece of a cake! It is exactly as I had imagined and more.
The craftsmanship was on point! The customer service was over the top. It was a very pleasant experience with nice people. We highly recommend Jim & Kristy and truly truly appreciate them being there at the right time.
Our Dil was soooo surprise, not so much for the party, because the grandkids gave it up as soon as they got home. But... she had no idea what the cake looked like.
When she saw the cake she couldn't take her eyes off of it. Taking pictures at every turn. She thought the cake was one of the most amazing cakes she had ever seen!

Vanilla Birthday Cake
My husband and I visited here for the first time today. We were in the area shopping and going out for lunch.
We bought 2 cupcakes - one chocolate with chocolate icing, and one chocolate with chocolate caramel icing with half of a rolo piece on top. The cupcakes were light, the icing was light - in which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We also bought 6 truffles - 2 brownie batter, 2 chocolate cake, 2 peanut butter. We have yet to try any of those.
The shop felt very inviting and quaint. We were able to buy right from the case and take them with us.
We will be back for another visit!
Vanilla bean bakery pulled through for us and delivered 5 adorable cookie decorating boxes to our door! The cookies were delicious and had everything we could need for decorating. We will definitely be using this bakery in the future! Thanks again!
We ordered 250 picture cookies for our event and they were beautiful and delicious! Kristy and Jim were great to work with from start to finish. I would highly recommend this darling small business. ( Stop in and treat yourself to some of their beautiful cupcakes. You’ll be glad you did😊)

I was introduced to the Vanilla Bean Bakery by our receptionist while I was spending time in our Indy office a few years back and they had catered in some holiday treats. I was so impressed that I ordered two dozen cookies to take back home with me for that year's holiday get together with my family. Finding any consensus amongst my family is not an easy task, but the one thing everyone agreed on was that I should have brought more of these cookies. Both kids and adults alike loved them.
Ever since then, the cookies have been a staple of the family's Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts. Then Covid hit, my office closed in Indy and as we inched ever closer to Christmas I began to realize that there was little chance we'd be any near Indy this year to get our cookie order. Vanilla Bean's very own Kristy came to the rescue though. She went out of her way to accommodate our cookie order this year and get everything shipped right to our door. The cookies were beautiful as always and in perfect condition thanks to the care that was taken in packing them. Christmas is saved. Thanks again VBB, you're the best. See you again next year!
We are so happy we chose to work with Kristy and the entire Vanilla Bean team for our wedding cake and cupcakes. We were blown away with how genuine and kind Kristy and the entire staff were throughout the entire process. Kristy was available for any questions and they even took on a large addition to the order one week before the wedding without a second thought or any trouble. They delivered for us on the day-of and were a pleasure to work with every step of the way. Not to mention that the cupcakes were delicious! Thank you for making our day seamless and sweet!
