We visited here as part of the Rum & Chocolate tour organised through Island Routes/Sandals.
The actual bar itself has been done up well, clearly for the tourists as the rest of the street is typical St.Lucia semi-derelict style (or at least looks it to us).
It’s very dimly-lit inside with lots of American sporting memorabilia adoring every inch of wall and ceiling!
However where it all went wrong for me was when they brought out the food - I could tell it was “Jerk Chicken” but I was unable to identify the rest of it, which really annoys me as I need to know what I’m eating!!! As for the chicken it was all bone, very little chicken on it even though it tasted nice I was really in a bad mood by the point to be honest. My wife’s chicken had a lot more meat on the bone than mine.
A drink was poured for me but again, no clue or indication as to what it was!!!! I asked as she finished pouring and was told some kind of juice! Again, this annoys me as being the customer I kinda like to chose my own drinks thanks!!!!!! 🤷🏼♂️
Reading through other reviews maybe if you’re not part of an organised tourist group where the planners pre-choose/book your food it’s a better experience… who knows, I can only go by my own experience.

My wife and I have been to the Valelse Sports Bar & Soup Kitchen twice now during our short stay. The food is great and the atmosphere is very friendly. The service is also great. I loved the goat curry and the jerk chicken meals.

Visited Valelse with a tour group on the 21 June, and it was great! The 2 girls that were in there were so nice and very hospitable! They really did their best to give us a good time! The food was also GREAT, full of flavor. The punch that they gave us was very good as well! 10/10 would recommend. Definitely hope to see them next time we visit the island!

Overall, great environment and great food. I got the grilled Mahi Mahi with rice and peas and it was so rich and tasty. Staff was very nice and attentive. Super cool atmosphere with all the different sports teams jerseys and knick nacks all over the bar. Check this place out if you get the chance.
I've enjoyed all of my visits there.
I can't complain about anything..
I must say that its a lovely place to visit..
