I wanted to support Uwepo Cafe knowing their intentions with earth-friendly sustainable business practices (I LOVE their use of on-site produced cooking gas made from food & animal waste), and my dining experience there was fantastic.
My beef stew with rice and slaw were huge in portion given the price, and super delicious. The service was exceptional, being tended to by both the chef and the owner who are both complete gems.
As I understand it Uwepo Cafe is growing as a community hub in support of local farmers with their work, so I’ll definitely be dining there again. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was clean and breezy. The fish curry was off the charts amazing. We ate here several times and were delighted each time. The rice here is an experience in itself! Will def be returning and highly recommend Uwepo!
Very impressive that they cook with biogas, are saving trees in Kenya and helping the people learn to do the same. I got an education on biogas after lunch. Thanks Jes and Douglas for the knowledge. Thanks Nellie for the yummy coconut rice

Food was nice. Only reason for the poor rating is the absurdly high pricing matching what you’d see at the beach resorts. Really upsetting and wasn’t expecting that from what looked like a local place, especially for local food.

Ambiente tranquillo e cibo diverso dal solito con abbinamenti molto originali buonissimo e preparato con molta cura dalla proprietaria.
Prezzi molto superiori rispetto alla media, giustificato dalla qualità del cibo ma per un volta i anche più ne vale sicuramente la pena. È possibile anche sedersi e suonare uno strumento musicale a disposizione, parlare con gli altri o semplicemente rilassarsi.
