We live in dc and have a lot of good Mediterranean options but this is the best I’ve had in a long time! Their hummus is out of this world and the rice they serve has raisins in it. YUM! This is more of an order pickup, but they do have a few tables and chairs for seating. Even more outside in their patio area. We ordered the grilled salmon and grilled lamb chops. Both dishes were great as they were served on rice with fresh vegetables. The chops were pretty thick, too. The bread is served hot and fresh and is 10" like a pizza, huge. The hummus was smooth and tasted great. The gentleman behind the register is very polite. The place is super clean and decor very modern. Urban Kabob has a welcoming atmosphere. Inside is very modern and trendy with plenty of seating. Exterior also offered seating in a nice patio area. The food is outstanding. This was a beautiful spot to go to for a delicious fusion lunch! We ordered the loaded fries which were absolutely amazing. We also got one of their Nashville hot sandwiches which were so fresh and tasty and the kofta kabob platter which was fresh, delicious, and a huge portion! We had so much food left over that we could easily make another meal out of it. The place is super clean with a fresh vibe and the service was impeccable. We’d been curious about this place for at least 6 months. We moved to the area 6 months ago, and see it off of the road, while on the way home. We’ll last night, we intentionally decided to go try Urban Kabob, just as we had hoped —- the food was excellent! I am a vegetarian, so I had the falafel platter. And the falafel was wasn’t over cooked or dry. It was very flavorful. The basmati rice was cooked well, not mushy at all. My husband had the shrimp and beef platter - the beef was juicy and tasty. The shrimp was delicious! The restaurant was clean and the service was great, too. Went here because a friend recommended the Nashville Hot Chicken - he was right! So good. What he didn't mention was how fantastic the lamb, tikka, and gyros are. All in our party LOVED everything. We consider ourselves very lucky this place is close by. LOVE IT. Hey! We had a great time trying out Urban Kabob. The atmosphere was calming, well designed, and clean. Food took a minute to come out but it was fresh. Staff working was friendly and accommodating. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

We had high hopes seeing the pictures, but sadly, the food didn't live up to expectations. All the food we ordered was fresh, the atmosphere in the place, location, and the server was really great! The lamb kabob was slightly overcooked, but it still tasted good, and of everything we ordered, this meat was the best. The chicken sheekh kabob was decent. The chicken shawarma was nothing like the pictures they display outside, cooked in a totally different style, and tasted like a chicken sandwich, not a shawarma. The rice lacked flavor, and so did the samosas. We usually pack up most of the food we don't finish, but this time we didn't feel that urge!
