El Nopal is by far one of my favorite restaurants to go to, not only because of the food but because the owner is very friendly. It is a family owned business with just a husband and wife, I’ve never seen anyone but them working in the restaurant. The husband takes orders and waits tables while the wife cooks. My favorite meal is the Chile relleno plate, I’ve never had a Chile relleno like the one that they make, I’ve been on the search for one that even come close to how good theirs taste and I haven’t found one yet. It is a must try. I am a often costumer here, I love to come here with my family we always have a great time and the food is very inexpensive which is great.
Decor is creative, sophisticated design sense but on a right budget. Service is rustic, the owner waited on us. Very wasn't but not a polished pro. Food was very good, I had a burrito and my wife had the tacos. Both were excellent. The beans were really tasty. They serve organic local honey with the tea, a nice touch.

Delicious Mexican food, yummy burritos, service is great, too. Not fancy, but a great place for lunch in downtown Vallejo. Owner hosts and wife is the cook. Delightful people!! Highly recommended. ....
Tasty, authentic Mexican food in a warm and welcoming environment. I had great service from an old Latino guy who I presumed to be the owner, he was really nice. Also- the lunch special was all of $5 for a burrito with rice and beans and a bit of salad on the side - and this included chips and delicious house-made fresh salsa. I'd eat here often if I lived in Vallejo. They only accept cash.
