This is an amazing eatery! The food is not only fantastic but choices are unique. The price was very reasonable. I met the owner and learned of her prior vast experience and attention to detail and flavors. The pie is excellent and under $4 for a generous slice. Will definitely go back when in the area .

For breakfast, highest quality around and very reasonable pricing. For lunch, best pastrami sandwich in the area, ask for The Katz. The Reuben is amazing as well. For the side, get the onion rings. For dessert, they’re all made in house-cheesecake, pies, cookies. You won’t believe how good it all is until you try it.

Union Station Deli & Event Center in Joplin is a delightful spot that seamlessly blends historical charm with modern culinary flair. Situated at 705 Illinois, the location formerly known as Beckett's Cafe, this establishment has undergone a refreshing transformation. The new railroad theme is not only cool but also thoughtfully integrates into the local heritage, featuring wooden booths, historic light fixtures, and fascinating memorabilia from Joplin's past, including items from the famed Ebony Super Club.
The ambiance is further enhanced by the attentive and friendly service. We were seated immediately upon arrival, welcomed by a very kind waitress who ensured our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable.
The menu at Union Station Deli is nothing short of unique, offering a delightful twist on classic dishes. My friend Michelle opted for the 'Me Like Bees' - a sandwich that harmoniously combines turkey, cheddar, sliced apple, honey, and whole grain mustard on a croissant. The addition of the apple was a masterstroke, adding a fresh, crisp element to the sandwich. She paired this with sweet potato waffle fries, which were a hit.
I chose the 'Klein Philly', a hearty sandwich packed with roasted beef, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, smoked provolone, and garlic mayo, all served on crusty French bread. The flavors were rich and satisfying, perfectly complemented by the handmade onion rings – crispy and flavorful.
The total cost for our meal was around $30, plus a tip – a reasonable price for the quality and quantity of food served. Union Station Deli & Event Center is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique dining experience in Joplin. It's a place where history and modern cuisine meet, creating an unforgettable experience.

I've eaten here on several occasions and the food is amazing! It's outside the norm that you'll find at most diners in the area as it's from their travels! The owners are phenomenal people and are super attentive to the needs of their restaurant and patrons! They also cater for events AND have an attached event center/conference room! Will most definitely return! BRAVO 👏

First off the food was VERY delicious, we had the breakfast the pancakes were light and fluffy and the butter was so sweet and creamy, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The reason for the the 4 star was the service it was not horrible by any means just they could of been more attentive.

Finally...a great pastrami sandwich in Joplin. I can't wait to go back to try their corned beef. If they were open later, I'd definitely have dinner there frequently.
