A family run restaurant with a cozy front of house and a beautiful garden with colorful flowers. As per the name ''U Lay Gyi''(Uncle), a warm and hospitable uncle will meet you and take your orders. Food are quick enough to be served, clean and delicious. Local shan noodles, coffee, tea, yogurt and milk as well as delicious chapati and puri can also be ordered here. Don't forget to take photos with the garden background!

Freshly made chapatti and puri with aloo curry and spicy tomato paste, delicious! They also have local Shan noodles and tofu nwe, yoghurt, masala chai and coffee ☕ a true hidden gem and family run place with lots of flowers - best kept secret in Kalaw

Lovely place with garden . You can get light food . They make Puri or Chapati , which are made after you order it . Tea , coffee and fresh milk offer there , Shan noodles and other typical food also you will order . In that place you can buy some small plants , such as orchids , cactus , succulent plants and etc .

My favourite tea shop in kalaw. whenever i want to have a good tea, i used to go to u lay gyi restaurant. some said masalah tea is very tasty but masalah tea is not my choice. good to sit in with high chairs. indian foods and sweets are available there. the best place to enjoy the quietness and i highly recommend it.
