An excellent quiche -- dense, good on the taste buds -- and an excellent tea ("Tangerine Ginger"!) made for a great, relaxed break.

Delicious soy golden milk! Perfectly spiced. It can be hard to find a non-caffeinated, warm beverage that fits the rich and creamy bill. Sweet, old time eclectic Santa Cruz vibe as well, and was provided very helpful and knowledgeable service by the individual at the register.

I have a gripe. It has to do with how incredibly rude I was treated during Covid, as a customer. Im not saying the food or drink is bad. I’d been going there for years and years, even when I visited from Canada. Over 10 or more years. But can I say that not only the owner , but staff were just treating ppl like cattle. I decided to sit down one time and not wear a mask. I got yelled at for sitting down. I wanted to drink my coffee. How the f do i do that through a mask , Neanderthals? It just goes to show that ppl can’t think for themselves. Just like sheep. I’ve waited some time to express this, now that people have somewhat woken up from their fear induced zombie states. I will never go there again. My family has been customers for a lonnng time. Unbelievable how rude this cafe was during that period of time.
