Great Course played there Saturday morning the staff was super friendly very helpful great energy had a hock-up and the staff fixed it immediately and made us feel very welcomed to be apart of there course great feeling, after our round we went to the bar and grill and the people and energy was amazing and great food!!! Great place to be and I can’t wait to go back!! Thank You!!
The course & new carts are 5 stars. We had a Saturday am tee time on a day they had a 1pm shotgun event that sat, so last tee time was 8 am. We hit town after a 30 mile drive & get a phone call from the course, saying we can't play due to overnight rain. Mentioned they were calling us about 15-20 minutes before our tee time, was told the best they could do was send us rain checks, which they did that day via e mail. That Wednesday, weather was great so we booked another tee time to use our rain checks. Here's where it gets weird. I had booked our original time on line & when I saw an option to save 20% by paying then, I went ahead & paid, so it ended up $37/man instead of $44. We arrive Wednesday, I go in to check us in, give him the rainchecks, & he says, "that'll be $8. I showed him the rain check, & asked him why it wasn't good for the greens fees. He said he couldn't get it to come out even, so I owed $8. Turns out, it's not a rain check but a credit. .only good for the amount you originally paid, & since I didn't pay at time of booking the 2nd round, I didn't get the discount. So for it to be a true "rain check" I would have told them to refund my credit card, so I could pay again when I re- booked & get the discount. To his credit, Mike (Head pro?) greeted us when we were done to explain things....we talked a for a bit about why we had to pay additional when we had rain checks, & he stood firm that he thought their policy was fair. I'll leave it to the reader to decide, but if you get rained out.....😁 Again, the course is great, always in great shape & we've always had a great experience here (2-3 time a year) & I'd still reccomend playing here.
Took my nephew out there for the first time ever. We had a wonderful time together. His first time ever hitting a golf ball. My first time in years, got to try out my new clubs

Turtle run offers much more than a golf course and bar. Their service is great, they host multiple concerts throughout the year, and host an AMAZING 4th of July event. Turtle run is the place to be!

The course is beautiful and from everybody I here talk about it, they are enjoying it also. I do think that the night watering starts to early though. The course was packed today and they started watering between 4:15 and 4:30. Really? It's called "night watering" for a reason! I had lunch which was very good and the bartender was very friendly and looked to be really enjoying her day! Still the best in our immediate area!

Played Turtle Run twice while visiting a friend in the Danville area. Staff was very friendly and the course itself was great. Good layout, well maintained, and quick (that's a plus) greens. Fees were very reasonable. My only negative is that the ground on the tee boxes was like concrete; hard to get tees in the ground. I'd definitely return!

Area residents are lucky to have this course. Every year I play it it’s in slightly better shape than the year before. Course has a lot of elevation changes which is different than many other central Illinois courses. Greens are well kept and have some tricky undulations which keep it challenging. Staff in pro shop are friendly and will learn your name if you are out there often. A few negatives are that fairway bunkers at times are not manicured as well as green side bunkers, but bunkers are supposed to be a hazard. Some cart paths are rough but not a bid deal. One other negative is that the architect Jim Spears stuck to “the perfect par rotation” of 4-5-4-3-4-5-4-3-4, makes you wonder when you play the course if there was a better routing possible. Maybe that’s the reason #9 is a little quirky.
Might be my new favorite course. Great staff, great condition, great views

Absolutely beautiful course. Usually, most courses at this time of year are a little rough. Not this one. Maintenance is top notch. The course staff is very friendly and the players were friendly and courteous for the most part the day we were there. The only glitch was a fivesome of women who wouldn't allow smaller/faster groups to play through.

Really nice course, with some challenging holes. Greens and fairways are in best condition I've seen. Slated as one of the two courses for the Illinois American Legion tournament in August.
