Good overall just not amazing for the price. The lights were just a little too dim, I like dim places but this was very dark. The drinks were pretty good. The one thing I would have to say was better than most places is the queso fundito. The main problem I had with the place is the portion size compared to the price, that is were I really didn't agree too much. The one thing I might would recommend that was maybe good for the price was the Arroz A La Tumbada. Lots of seafood and just good tastes for a reasonable price. Been meaning to try Tula for a long time but never got around to it until now and it was disappointing. Queso fundido was barely melted, not terribly satisfying. Cochinita pibil was ok. The pork was tender and the sauce was good. That charred habanero salsa was practically just vinegar with a little spice. The black beans tasted straight out of a can with a little pepper added. First couple bites of the arroz a la tumbada were good but then one piece of fish tasted off and it made it hard to have anything else in the dish but rice after that. Pushed our luck even further with churros. Under-cooked and under-salted. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100

As a Texan it can be risky to try Mexican food outside the state. This was excellent! The guacamole was simple and tasty, nice salsas and the warmed tortilla chips were crunchy and fresh. Equites we’re delicious as was the queso (more fundido style). We shared a surf and turf that was was delicious and the meats were perfectly cooked. The location on the square made parking a bit tough since they had an event outside the night we went. Also it was inside an older mall type building that didn’t really go with the fresh, yummy food and energetic servers. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We loved it here! The handmade tortillas were amazing - ngl I was a little surprised that we got tortillas with our queso instead of chips but by the end we actually preferred it! My husband got the carnitas (delicious) and I got the al pastor tacos (also sooo delicious!!) The environment was clean and chill, the staff super kind and helpful, and we left talking about how much we enjoyed the whole experience. Good food, great atmosphere. The margaritas are really good. I ate Carne Asada steak, it was very good. Although we took our kids and didn't have any problems, I wouldn't recommend it. Really good experience. The server (James) was great and he made everything right. Entres (Mole, Steak, Cochinita Pibil) and appetizers (Guacamole & Queso Fundido) tasted great! Our initial tasting experience was marred by a badly made cocktail (the reason for a 4 star rating, instead of 5 stars). The replacement was great. It was an avoidable mistake that should not have happened in a restaurant of this caliber (they were not busy). Delicious food! Comfortable outdoor seating. Spacious enough outside to effectively distance. James was delightful and took great care of us. Our appetizer, drinks, entrees, and dessert were all delicious. Ambiance and vibe are great for dates! We will be back soon.

I came here mainly because of the high reviews TULA has been receiving. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. We were met quickly by our server who was very polite and professional, he made the dinner much more enjoyable. I started with the Ceviche which came with chips. It had quite a bite to it but was very good with great flavors. I then had the Cochinita Pibil - slow roasted and marinated pork shoulder with beans and habanero sauce The pork and the gravy it was in was once of the best dishes I have ever had at a restaurant. The pork was so tender, the marinade was incredible and it was a sizeable portion. I cannot say enough about this. The beans were fairly bland and the habanero sauce was way more than I could eat. My wife had the Arroz a la Tumbada, a paella style seafood medley and it too was very good and a sizeable portion. I really wanted to try a dessert but I was just to full at this time. I am not a tequila fan, but the drinks were ok. We really enjoyed our dinner here.

We'd been wanting to try Tula for quite awhile. Last night, we finally went, & were not disappointed. From beginning to end, our experience there was stellar! They took a reservation over the phone, but you can also do that via text. Text communication prompted us to leave the nearby watering hole where we'd been for a couple of hours. Walked over to Tula & it just felt like a special experience the entire time! The hostess seated us, brought us water, gave us our server's name & indicated that she'd be right over. The atmosphere is wonderful; very inviting, warm & friendly. I especially love the mid-century modern design. We soon got our drinks & settled down to look at the menu. My mole rojas poblano sauce enchilidas with red rice was incredible; perfectly cooked & presented and delicious. My husband's pollo tacos al carbon, served with guacomole, grilled onion & pineapple, whole pinto beans cooked in a delicious broth with bacon & homemade corn tortillas were wonderful. We will soon be going back, & I look forward to trying the sopa azteca. The only suggestion I would make to management would be to have a side salad available to go with that. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. Everyone working there clearly like their jobs. It's not often you find a restaurant that feels comfortable, unpretentious & warm, and yet still has a very high bar for the quality, authenticity & presentation of the food. Tula does all this, and more! Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
