The charcoal Banh Mi is really special and tastes great, however it's made with sliced chicken instead of the authentic Vietnamese pork roll, which is rather unfortunate. The rice paper salad looks very special but tastes like munching through a sheet of peanut & chili flavored plastic. The novelty factor wears of very quickly, nothing to write home about. Coffee was nice and authentic Vietnamese. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Banh MI

All I can say is... the best banh mi I've had in years. The last Vietnam vacation immediately came back to mind!! In addition, in a black bread, which is not available anymore. Oh, I almost forgot about the super authentic cafe!! With a simply super friendly service. We'll definitely be back... Stumbled upon this amazing humble Vietnamese coffee shop while exploring jonker Street. The owners were kind enough to borrow a toy for my baby. They also customized the food to our diet preference. Less sweet for coffee, and no seafood for the Vietnamese salad. Highly recommended ✅✅ Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 1–20

This quiet street parallel to Jonkers has lots of little surprises. A small Thai restaurant up the road and this little coffee nook. Don't expect something glamorous in appearance. It is a small corner with only a table but the coffee is fabulous. The lady boss also prepared her Vietnamese Rice Paper Salad which was really good. I was too slow to take my second bite and my girls finished it all which is a testament in itself. Our host was courteous and polite. There is not much in terms of menu but all are prepared meticulously and lovingly by her. The street was quiet compared to Jonkers and the environment helped us relax in her shop. We had a Vietnamese coffee , a drink which I didn't get the name and the salad which all came to about RM18. Very reasonable. Definitely will be a stop on my next trip. Authentic shop house cafe that is perfect for a refreshing quick snack or drink, or a bit more if you are hungrier. After a bit of walking the old town area I settled in to a chair along the street and ordered an iced cafe sua da and a cool rau cau dessert. The iced Vietnamese coffee was well prepared in the side kitchen next to the tables and was then added into a glass over ice allowing the coffee and sweet condensed milk to mix. Neither the coffee or milk overpowered the other and it was a refreshing cool drink with a bit of caffeine to fortify me for more touring around town. The rau cau was like a tiramisu jelly with different layers each bringing it's own flavor. It came in a small bowl, had already been cubed, and the toothpick allowed you to pull out a cube at a time. Friendly and attentive staff. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Pleasant surprise to see a small slice of Vietnamese hospitality in Melacca. Tu, the host comes from the Black Mountain region about 2 hours north of Saigon. She made a new life for herself in Melaka and brought with her some warmth and yummy goodness from home. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A big surprise in the middle of Malaka. We find authentic Rau Câu, Bánh tráng trộn & Cà phê in the town. The owner is Vietnamese (her name is Tú) and she is really cute. If you have a chance to visit Malaka, come to support & enjoy Vietnamese food na 😍😍😍 Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person RM 20–40

The Vietnamese lady hand drips vietnam coffee here! I had cafe sua da (iced Vietnamese coffee) and it was strong (yeah woke me up instantly! 😆) and the owners were super friendly. I was there before their advertised opening time but they were already open so try your luck if you are a morning bird like me.
