Food is good, staff is friendly, atmosphere is decent. Reservation for 4. Seated immediately at 5:52. A server did not come to our table. Servers and host walked by several times but not check on us. I asked for a server at 6:02 at the host desk. Our server came at 6:05. She seemed very new and was apologetic. The service between drinks/dishes was a little too slow to have a put together meal. The food was good, portions were good. Not enough for left overs, but enough for a single meal. It was just a lot of waiting to order food or drinks. We ordered dessert and coffee, but the coffee didn’t come out. That’s fine, dessert was good. I don’t think I’ll add Truss to my favorite LYH restaurant list. But it is a nice place to go every once in a while. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Truss was a very fine place to dine at on a Friday night. We are trying all new restaurants and it’s been a joy! Our waiter took really good care of us and he knew his stuff concerning the wine and some of the products that we were inquiring about. We all ordered different items and it was “eh ok”. So I had the Pasta dish and it had no taste at all to me neither did the steak. My lady ordered the chicken entree and seemed to really enjoy that! THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS WERE TO DIE FOR!!! Omg!!! Please send over that receipe! Overall the experience alone was great! Very upscale! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
Sat at the bar and enjoyed the amazing ambience of this beautiful restaurant and 5 star service of Taylor, the bar manager. Enjoyed an ole fashioned crafted to perfection and some of the best crab cakes I have ever had + handcut fries. Can’t wait to come back on my next trip to Lynchburg Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
we stopped in to have brunch today and it was excellent, once again! the food was incredible and the drinks were delicious. but what made this experience even better was the waitress next to us catering to a sweet blind lady, each item she ordered, the waitress would place in front of her and tell her where everything was so her dining experience would be just as great as everyone else’s. keep up the impeccable work, can’t wait to join you for dinner next time! ps: if you’re considering the lemon ricotta pancakes, they’re so delicious i’m pretty sure i blacked out eating them!!! 🍋 Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went with a friend for a birthday lunch and this place was just special enough to really make our day! The atmosphere is modern but cozy while the food selections felt diverse without overwhelming. The actual flavors were good and in the case of my summer salad side- surprisingly so! Would definitely recommend Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Truss did not disappoint. Wow. Everything was chefs kiss, especially the cocktails! Everyone was so kind (our waiter Chris was literally the best) and the atmosphere is incredible. If you’re trying to decide on a new restaurant to try, this is your sign!!! 🤌🏼 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had lunch with 4 other ladies today for the first time at Truss. Overall we had the best time and lunch was delicious. Expect to spend $$, but it’s worth it! Service was excellent and the atmosphere is super nice! We had the fish and chips (gluten free) and fries. For dessert several of us had the blood orange passet (custard) which was superb! Afterwards, stroll through the other shops along this area and discover some new establishments that unique to Lynchburg. Great place for cocktails and conversation in Lynchburg. While the restaurant does not get top marks in “value” (which can be subjective by the reviewer), I believe this restaurant is a Lynchburg 5 stars. Atmosphere is absolutely the best in town - smart lighting, comfortable and tasteful seating, and beautiful interior design. Service is timely, friendly, and professional. The menu is interesting, appears to be seasonally influenced, and the dishes are executed well. The complementary bread is delightfully moist. This was my first visit to Truss and was pleasantly surprised at the overall experience. We started with the lamb meatballs and the charcuterie, adding on the smoked trout. For entrées, we got the scallops, the pork, and the duck. The mains were cooked to perfection and arrived simultaneously. The only complaints were the overly sweet parsnip purée (duck and scallop dishes) and the unexpectedly spicy sweet potato purée (pork dish). Both purées were good, but we would have liked them to be less sweet and less spicy respectively. Otherwise, we were impressed with the entire experience from start to finish and will definitely be coming back Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Pan Seared Scallops Dish

The best overall meal I have had in Lynchburg! And the restaurant is beautiful...hard to believe you're not in a resort city. The salad was so fresh with locally sourced greens. The bread and butter was unusually good too. The entrée of seared scallops over diced corn and squash was prepared perfectly. To top it all off the homemade peach and blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream for desert was just like grandma would make. I usually don't get desert unless I'm on vacation, but you can't skip it when the food is that well prepared. You have to try it...it is well worth the price! Ate there on a weeknight around 5pm, so when I left it was probably half full, so get there early. Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
