I stopped by the Nursery purely by chance today, and I am so glad I did. Apart from the serenity of the place, their humorous little posters made me not only giggle to myself, but laugh out loud at times. They have a lovely little coffee shop where you can sit and take in the beauty of your surroundings. The cherry on the top of course, was walking away with my gorgeous little Monstera 🥰
Will definitely visit again!
Beautiful selection of plants catering for all weather and locations. The assistance staff are so plant knowledgeable and incredibly patient. There is a serious lack of plant nurseries in Durban, please support this nursery to keep it open you will be pleasantly supriced by its offering.
I phoned to ask if they had catmint. The chap said yes but only in trays. He asked if he could keep one for me and when I went round it was waiting. Pleasant interaction and efficient and very reasonably priced.
They have a really nice range of plants. Even ones that you ca turn into bonsai. Will definitely be back. Not sure if they keep bonsai pots, forgot to ask but they have a large range of normal plant pots
Always loved this nursery.
Sadly is not as good as it used to be. Not as many indigenous plants.
Would probably still be one of my go to nurseries. I tend to only plant indigenous.
Nice little nursery, however the outside verge is overgrown and uninviting, it makes the place look derelict. Which is a pity, as they have a well laid out, wide selection of plants, pots and assessories inside. And a quant little coffee shop.
Absolutely a lovely nursery with excellent stocks. Very neat and tidy. The atmosphere here make you to want to come back. Also there is a lovely coffee shop where you can relax . No doubt I give 5 stars to Tropical nursery.
Very poor service from the staff who work with the plants. When someone came over to help me, he walked off with the plants I'd chosen and left them at the desk. I had asked him for a particular herb and expected him to return and help. I also wanted him to get some fertilizer. When he didn't return, I walked to the till. The man in question was standing nearby. When I asked why he had left me, he said he was helping another customer. He made no effort to offer to carry my purchases to the car. A few years back, the assistants would do this automatically. When the woman behind the desk kindly offered to carry my things, I said she was not to worry - I would do it myself, which I did. This is not the first time I have had poor service there.
