Lobster is everywhere but I would highly recommend Trenton Lobster Pound as your first stop when in or near Bar Harbor! The chowder was nice and creamy. And the Hot Lobster roll comes with the butter on the side so you can add as much as you want… (just add the whole thing). All around great food!
We arrived at dinner time and there’s a lot of people who eats here but it’s not a long wait. You can sit outside, or indoor. The clam and oysters are very delicious and flavorful. The blueberry pie topped with ice cream is the best! The corn is not well cooked and lobster stew was 4/5, it was alright yet we finished everything. It’s worth to try! ☺️
Stopped here for our last lobster roll on the way out of Acadia national park. The lobster roll here was simple and delicious. Lobster, butter, toasted bread. Very good, one of the best lobster rolls that we’ve had in New England! And the view from the outdoor picnic tables will definitely make it onto our Facebook page and our travel blog!

A friend recommended me this place and it did not disappoint! They let you choose the lobster you want. They have both soft and hard lobster. I had the soft one and it was really tasty. They say the hard one had more meat. The lobster roll and the desserts were also really good! I absolutely recommend trying the woopie pie when in Maine! Highly recommended!

We loved this place. We came here twice during our 3-day stay. A family friend (a Maine native) suggested that we come here. He said it’s the only place worth eating in the area. Fresh, delicious foods. Friendly service. Come around 9am for the full menu. Otherwise, only boiled lobsters at opening hour (8am), which isn’t a bad way to start your day. We loved the big, juicy, boiled lobsters. But also enjoyed the steamed clams and oysters. So good!
Yum!!! Best lobster and sides around BY FAR. Owners and staff are so friendly. Wish we were spending more time in the area, I would definitely go back for another lobster dinner and warm lobster roll!!!
Came here on my last night up in Maine. Save for the annoying midwestern tourist that couldn’t order for the life of them…it was a very easy experience. To the right was the fresh lobsters in a green cooler and I selected a jumbo. They weighed it and then I slid over to square away my bill. The moxie was refreshingly cold and I ordered a crab dip along with a lobster bisque. The crab dip was delicious and very liberal with meat. The soup was piping hot and packed with chunks of lobster. Wood fired lobster was ready within minutes and was mouthwatering. Excellent customer service along with pleasant seats! Would recommend here!

DARN YOU TRENTON BRIDGE LOBSTER POUND!! After experiencing real lobster, pulled from the sea and cooked in seawater, I will never be able to eat it anywhere else again. Literally. I thought I knew what lobster tasted like...but I was so, so wrong. Everything I tried was great, but DON'T miss the lobster. You were my first stop after landing in Bangor on my way to Bar Harbor and I loved it so much I went back for lunch the next day! I was even contemplating driving BACK to Trenton on my way to the airport on my last day (coming from Waldoboro!) but you had closed for the season. SO glad I caught you at the beginning of the week. We went back 2 years later and again ate their twice in 2 days!! I splurged and got a massive 2 pounder. So amazing. We have also ordered lobsters shipped to our home in Arizona a few times since and they were fabulous as well. Thanks again for the first class food.
While on our trip to Maine, we of course wanted to try lobster! This place is pretty neat- the lobsters are prepared in sea water over a wood fire outside. We got 2 lobster rolls- one was the lobster salad (creamy) and the other was warm with butter. We preferred the warm one with butter. Prices were similar compared to the other lobster rolls we tried.

Yummy Lobster and Shrimp Rolls!!! We loved their food so much that we visited this Restaurant twice. We had their lobster salad sandwich, Shrimp Roll, steamed oysters and crab dip. I loved all the food. But my all time favorite is shrimp roll and lobster sandwich. The lobster is very fresh and juicy. Both the rolls are cold food. If you want to eat hot you could try their hot butter lobster roll. The live lobster and boiled lobster are available to take home. It will be good for 2 to 3 days. There will be a lot of people waiting in the queue. Unlike other restaurants they won't reserve the table. If you want to eat, you must stay in line and order. Prices are similar in all the restaurants in bar harbor. But the food is totally worth it. I would definitely recommend it.
