We catered first time from here for 50 people and they did an amazing job. Food was delicious. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Ill preface this by saying I am very home sick. This place is everything I wanted and more. They have amazing pastries and you can also get some traditional cooked food. Most food is sold in larger portions so it's great if you are ordering for the holidays. The cozonac is delicious and they are so beautiful. Definitely recommend trying them even if you aren't Romanian. It's like a delicious sweet bread and it's amazing with coffee in the morning. Overall really happy and the service was great they were very nice Definitely will come back whenever we visit Chicago.

This review is strictly about the owner of this place. I just came to see what they have available and she started ranting about how people only buy her products around Christmas and now she has nothing available anymore!! She went on to say " nobody cares that I have a business to run year round not only on holidays. I mean,.really, you want people to buy from you just because you cannot sell enough?! With this attitude, you shouldn't be in business. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
The freshest food you can ever imagine! The owner, Gabriela she is amazing! Working hard to please every client wis and taste! Definitely worth to experience romanian traditional food and pastries!
First time shopping there. Very clean. Owner Gabriela waited on us. Was very very nice. My friend bought a sweet bread and when I asked about another type of bread she gave me a loaf. Very kind of her. I will be going back. Please don't go there asking for free bread. That's not what this about. The potato bread and the sweet bread were delicious.

I'm not Romanian, and I have no connection to Eastern European food whatsoever. Transylvania Kitchen knocked it out of the park. I learned of Ciorba de Burta (tripe soup) doing travel research and I couldn't find any to try in Chicago. Tangy and hearty, this is worth the drive. The staff was friendly, even though they seemed to not necessarily know what baked goods they had in stock. Regardless I have full confidence that anything available is delicious and made with care.
