This place is a heaven for chocolate lovers. Owned and run by a charismatic person Tony is a perfect stopover for one of a kind chocolate pastries and coffee.
The place is extremely welcoming and calm and becomes interesting when Tony come around with his hand written menu and takes you through the ingredients of his cakes and helps you to make a choice.
I choose to have a dense chocolate cake with whiskey and hot coffee which I savoured and also we had a fruit gateau with cold coffee . The cakes were baked to perfection and must I admit was a unique experience. It came with a price for 40$ for two.

Super surprised by the quality of the Moka pot, really good extraction and super nice. Not much of sweet tooth so didn't have the legendary cakes but everyone I was with seemed to really like them.

Austrian Coffee Cake
Tonys is an institution and must see. Exquisit cakes in old style relaxed atmosphere. Nice sets of China, the English way. Long list of selected teas. Beautiful view over garden and lawn, mountains visible through big trees. Just be prepared, it all has quite a price tag.

Tony's is quite simply the best coffee shop in Zimbabwe. It puts other coffee shops to shame. Nested in the beautifully mountains of vumba Tony's is a national treasure. It looks beautifully, quaint and serene. He has the biggest menu I've seen with a huge variety of cakes and a gargantuan list of teas. Truly spectacular. The gem of this place is undoubtedly Tony himself. His descriptions of his cakes are amazing and he is so friendly. The cakes are so moist and delicious. If you ever go to vumba you quite simply must go there. People come from abroad just to have one of his cakes. Truly a Zimbabwean treasure.
On the way back down from the Leopard's Rock hotel in Bvumba mountains, we visited a well known and highly recommended cake patisserie which also doubles as coffee/tea venue. Tony's is set in an ideal setting with well manicured lawns and gardens.
Tony is a cheerful flamboyant character who as put his life to the passion of baking the perfect cakes. These scrumptious cakes provide many surprising flavours and the shop caters to a vast range of coffees and teas to suit and even excite the more adventurous caffeine addicts.
A must for any traveller who needs that special touch of sweetness. Tony's is a perfect way to round off your trip to the Bvumba mountains.
It's an experience everyone should have atleast once in their lives. Tony makes u feel at home and the food is amazing ☺️ if u love chocolate, booze and amazing views - this is the place for you.
Where to start... Let's start with Tony! The most graceful and welcoming host. Our adventure to Tony's coffee shop was to find some cake slices for our picnic in the mountains. Tony makes a great baked cheesecake and a very delicate coffee cake perfect with the warm beverages staple to Bvumba region. We enjoyed our chat by the fire as we indulged in one of MANY selections of teas available to you. One pot goes a long way do not be scared away by the price.
