Really interested and fully recommended tour! When you arrive to the village, only ask for t Tofu House Inle Lake and you will meet Mr. Zaw who will guide you through the snack/tofu village: he will explain you the life around the village and the lake, the production process of the snacks and he will invite you to try few of them! We had a very great time!
We had such a good time with Mr Zaw, who gave us a very informative tour of the tofu-making facilities as well as a walk through the nut/bean/seed producing ones. The man is incredibly nice, and served us a large meal at the end of the tour. Totally recommend this experience!!

Wow! what a hidden gem at inle lake that we are surprised so little people knows. This should be a must see at inle lake. Mr Zaw cooked us a delicious tofu meal made of chickpeas (so yummy!) and we gobble all of them up. He even brought us to behind the scenes at his village to see how they are made. We also saw how nuts and beans were being processed at the local factories and even had the luck to purchase them at factory price! what a wonderful highlight at inle lake. Thanks Mr Zaw for your kindness in showing us around!
Mr.Zaw is Super friendly and can arrange a Village tour describing the process of making tofu, rise crackers or local sweets. He can also arrange boat trips, trekking tours or take transfer to great spots around the lake. His English is very good and he is very knowledgeable.
Great place to stop and see village life. The tour was fantastic! To see all the different local food prepared was interesting! And then after you can enjoy a meal of many types of tofu! Must do if travelling around Inle Lake!

Mr. Zaw is the best guide in Myanmar, he enthusiastically explained the history of his town and how all the families there work on producing food and snacks for the entire region. He really enjoys sharing his knowledge, that's something many other guides lack. After the 60-minute tour, his wife prepared some tofu snacks and also a tofu desert. Awesome, thank you so much!
We spent one late afternoon with Mr Zaw testing his various tofus (the village is famous for tofu in the area), then toured some houses where the families prepare tofu. The next day we went with Mr Zaw and his wife trekking to Taung Yao villages in the mountain. His wife used to be a teacher in one of the village, we could visit a school. That was a very nice day. Mr Zaw gives a lot of information about the local agriculture and lifestyle. Strongly recommended!

At first I struggled to understand what this place was about when we were stopped on the road and told about it. So let me reassure everyone who might experience the same: This is a very nice tour of the village which manufactures many of the snacks you’ll find around lake Inle (sugar cane sweets, sesame snacks, sunflower seeds, etc). The tour is informative and given by a nice and friendly guide, everything is topped off by a home-cooked lunch. The whole tour lasts for about 30-60 minutes and is a very nice way to see the village. We bought a bag of sugar cane snacks from the manufacturers directly and ended up buying some other snacks we saw made that day on the market the next day. Great way to understand where this all comes from!

Amazing and authentic!! Mr. Zaw is super friendly and helpful! He brought us through the village and we got to see how everything was made, and even got to eat everything along the way! It was all so delicious! After he took us to his house and prepared a bunch of snacks, that we saw being made along the tour, and fresh fried tofu, it was all amazing! Loved the whole experience so much!
