Tried this place a couple of weeks ago as they advertise having the best burger in the area. They were right. The burger was cooked to order and tasted like the beef had been fresh ground. Service was great Hannah! Not too busy seated immediately and easy parking. Onion rings excellent 👌couldn't finish them all. Bluezzy burger cooked perfectly. I've liked the food at Times in more recent months. The quality and flavor have improved since I started eating there. Railroad adjacent with Amtrak right next door. It's not only the perfect place to grab a bite before you catch the train. it's awesome for dinner and great for large groups. Quality food at fair prices rounds this eatery off to solid 4 stars. I've ordered delivery from this place quite a few times and felt compelled to leave a review because the food is always delicious. I've had the red beans with smoked sausage, cheeseburger, hamburger steak, queso and chips, and bbq pork nachos. Everything is really tasty! Great food, great service! For my first visit there I was very pleased. Their batter was a great texture and super flavorful on the mushrooms, doodads which are thin onion rings, and chicken sandwich (which was massive!). Our waiter was super friendly and patient with my daughter while she made her order with him and they have children's menus with crayons. I've been coming here since this place opened. And I have to say, it has definitely rode a steady decline. The burgers have always been a tad too greasy for me, literally dripping and oozing onto the tray. Sometimes, my bun will be soaking wet. The service has seen better days, and the servers seem a little out of it most of the time. Forgetting refills, and chatting for upwards of 15 minutes without checking on tables. However, if you catch them on a good day, service is friendly, quick, and efficient. The absolute highlight of this place however, is it's charm. Times Grill occupies part of the old Slidell train station (part of it IS still the station), so you get to eat your food and watch the trains race by. To me, it's just an unforgettable and unique experience for a small town local. I will always recommend this place for people visiting, and it's always on my to-do list when I visit town. We used to live at the apartments beside this restaurant when we first moved to Slidell and we ate here all the time! We just went back last week and took my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece and nephew that were in town. Great food, especially the burgers! The Cajun sunset comes with a fried egg on top and it is the best burger I've ever had! The atmosphere and service r also awesome!! And it was also convenient being right beside a nice little park with a playground, because we took our niece and nephew there afterwards so they could play!
