I am quite upset with how the team members are treated in this store. I walked in and some blonde lady for one, was dressed completely inappropriately for Halloween. Leggings tighter than a 15 year old would wear. Then she fought and argued with a customer. She was talking about only dating black people in front of me. I was sickened and cannot believe this woman is employed here. You better handle her or this store will lose lots of business. Quickly. It does not go unnoticed.
Last night I stop at this Thornton gas station Algonquin Rd next to Randall Rd intersection for coffee and few other items.
What a pleasure that was to see for a change two young employees at 1 am in the morning am ready to help and help older customer with a smile.
Young lady Miranda ask me if I need water for my service dog on her own.......
Young guy Zach seeing me looking for cream for my coffee and realizing there is no more cream (actually milk) in dispenser machine did very politely apologize for inconvenience and rush to the back to bring some......
WOW!!!!!!!
In this days I been overwhelmed seeing and experiencing that kind of service and willingness to help customers.
Good to know there are still good people like that on the scale from 1 to 10 I would give this young people 11 !!!!!!!!!
Thank you from me and my service dog
usually outstanding service. if they kept the iced coffee machine filled at all times, I would sooo support that! lol. tbh, they usually do. but love the quick in and out.
The kindest and most amazing attendant at the P.M night shift today! Made my night! She's an angel! Such a sweet and fun person but knows how to do her job, moves the line speedily, && with a positive attitude! 🙂 I wish I had gotten her name but she knows who she is! 🩷
Card readers at the pump seem to have a problem recognizing the Thornton rewards card. About 50% of the time it will not recognize the reward card.
On latest visit, I tried at least 4 times to enter credit card which was successful, but then the card reader would not recognize the rewards card. So I decided to use the pay inside feature instead so I could use credit card and reward card inside. The attendant came on over the pump lane speakers stating that it is a prepay station. I have been using the Lake in the Hills station for years specifically because it was not a prepay station as I refuse to make multiple trips to the cashier to prepay for fuel and the return for a refund of unused amount of prepay so I can actually fill my fuel tank.
Not a happy customer at this point.
Charges $2.00 for TIRE AIR. Other gas stations like Wawa on the east coast and Kwik Trip give out FREE air. In addition, their ATMs charge $3.50 to withdraw, whereas at the aforementioned places they are also free. What the F!!! Down with Thornton's!!!!
