We tried this bakery since it got such good reviews. The place is pretty small, and when we were waiting in line, we had to wait in the vestibule because the line was too long. Made it more challenging when we got to the front because you couldn’t see the display case to make a decision until at the counter. We tried pretty much one of everything, all the flavors of donuts, cookie cream pie, brownie, cake pop and chocolate chip cookie. Honestly, cannot say they tasted all that good. I wish I could. I love dessert, and I didn’t want to finish mine. Felt like it needed lots more butter and sugar and was pretty bland. I understand the gluten free, vegan concept, but I know there are lots of vegan options for those things now. Also, the water cups they give you are basically a shot glass, we had to refill them 3-5 times. Probably won’t be back.
The workers at Third Coast were so friendly and helpful! We needed some specific cupcakes, and they searched the freezer and other fridge to find what we needed. The cupcakes, though, were dry and the frosting was the cheapest tasting stuff. I was disappointed in them. Also, the only place to sit was right in front of the fireplace…I mean a couple of feet away. They could reorganize the entry area to make that better.
The coffee was so good! That was my favorite part, besides how friendly the workers were.

This is one of the best businesses to work with. I have visited in person and loved the service and atmosphere. Since we live a distance away, every year for Valentine's Day I order a box of treats for my mom. This year there was a tiny issue with the order. They called and explained how they were going to fix it and I am more than satisfied. Truely a wonderful bakery, wonderful gluten free treats and excellent service.

A few years ago I bought a Third Coast gf/df carrot cake at the grocery store and it was really good. I have wanted to go to the bakery ever since and finally went yesterday. I bought a slice of the blueberry lemon loaf and a cinnamon pumpkin donut. They were both really good!!! The blueberry lemon loaf was my favorite of the two, but both were excellent! I have had gf and df restrictions for years and have tried numerous desserts that aren’t very good or just ok. This bakery has figured out how to create delicious treats for those of us that have dietary restrictions! Thank you!!

This is definitely my favorite bakery in Traverse City! Everything here is gluten free, and almost everything is vegan, so I can eat here without worry (cream puffs and cake rolls contain egg). The staff is always friendly and makes great recommendations. If you have any concerns, they always explain the items well. Every baked good I have tried from them has been amazing (some items don’t even taste gluten free or vegan). The coffee is really good as well. Even though the baked goods are pricey (due to fair wages and using ingredients that accommodate most diets), every penny is worth it. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!
All gluten-free sweet treats. The coffee is tasty, so is everything else. We enjoyed being able to purchase everything, without worry, for our gluten adverse friends. It is a quick stop, very nicely decorated, with great parking. Cakes, cookies, pies, donuts, cinnamon rolls and more. All your favorite staples for desserts, snacks, even bread and croutons.
Coffee was average cinnamon roll was average pumpkin donut not anything to write home about. People were very friendly and atmosphere was inviting. I gave it 4 out of 5 I just like the bake goods or the coffee but I love friendly people that are doing their best to provide a product and service. And maybe it's just my opinion and others may find they like the coffee and baked goods. I wish them the best . I would suggest if you get the cinnamon roll to heat it up and I wouldn't get the coffee take your cinnamon roll to go and go to Starbucks
Love this place. I've baked my own gluten and dairy free confections for years and it's been a lot of work in the research and development let alone the money time and effort invested so when we found this place we literally stopped in everyday of the weekend we were there once we had a taste. Everything we tried was amazing, cookies, bagels, brownies, donuts, cheesecake, cake, cinnamon rolls, bread...it was all so good and I didn't have to make it myself. I have to say it was expensive, but all gf/df food is, especially when the quality is high like this. My fave was the cinnamon rolls, my hubby said he had a hard time choosing a fave so all the donuts was his answer lol Will definitely be coming back again next time we're in the area. And the service was also phenominal, we felt so at home since they actually understood our food struggles and were so friendly kind and accomodating.
Wow this place is impressive! The workers were so friendly and welcoming. We had cinnamon rolls, a French toast donut, and the zebra donut. We loved everything! The cinnamon rolls were very sweet and had a nice cinnamon glaze. The donuts were our favorite, soft and excellent flavor. We will be stopping here every time we visit TC.
This coffee shop & bakery is a must stop when we visit TC. The Sand Bar latte is my favorite & they always have fun treats to try. Love that all the menu items are gluten free (plus dairy free, soy free & vegan if you are looking for that)!
