This place is just awesome. Set on the grounds of Blandford Manor. Sprawling lawns with trees. Well placed outside tables. Huge indoor seating area. A great old style bar. The food is fantastic, and value for money. Amazing portions. Excellent service. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Delicious French toast and breakfast fry up. Their coffee freezachinos are to die for! We had a beautiful brunch under the trees, and a walk after in the stunning gardens. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person R 100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Classic English Breakfast
A beautiful oasis in the middle of the urban sprawl. The restaurant is located at the corner of Blanford manor, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a stream bubbling by. Places like this need to be actively encouraged by people, so the city still has some green lungs. Food was plain but good, and very reasonably priced. You can have a large cappuccino for R 25 and breakfasts start for less than R 50 !!! You can come with a book, get a picnic basket and relax on the green lawns, or play with the children. Definitely recommended Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person R 50–100
We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch outing. A beautiful sunny morning on the lawns with geese roaming about and birds chirping in the willows. Service was excellent and the food very good. I enjoyed my breakfast with the eggs cooked exactly as ordered. My done ordered a chicken cordon bleu, not really a brunch item, but the lichen named to prepare an excellent one. My daughter ordered the open trust beef sandwich which was excellent. And finally my wife enjoyed the smoked salmon with vegetables which we both enjoyed. All in all a great morning.

It was our third visit to The Wild Goose. We love the quiet , peaceful atmosphere. The surroundings are beautiful. The service is great and the food is delicious. As a vegan, I hardly eat out because of the lack of options for vegans, I also have an allergy to gluten. I ate the entire vegan and gluten-free pizza. It was so delicious. I've never eaten an entire pizza before. My family really enjoyed their meals too. We feel very lucky to have found you. 💖 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 200–250 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Beautiful gardens, excellent food, a hidden gem! It's my new favourite place. Bring a book and stroll the peaceful and tranquil gardens. Tables are very well spaced apart in the big gardens and all tables have a great spot in the shade. Highly recommended.
True to their word...it is a very tranquil atmosphere. Had a lovely walk about. A must visit. Absolute gem in nature Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Wild Goose is located in a wondrously green and lush setting. It is totally immersive and filled with an abundance of bird life. The surrounds of Blandford Manor have a real “wow” factor. However, this is where the positives end. The service is DREADFULLY slow. It took over an hour for our food come (the venue was not busy at all) and we didn’t order anything that warranted the wait. We ordered a salad, a vegetable stir fry and a toasted cheese. The toasted cheese was the star of the show. The stir fry was soggy and drenched in an overly-sweet sauce. The lid and opening of the tomato sauce bottle was disgustingly dirty. I specifically asked for one of the dishes without bacon and lo and behold I got the dish with bacon. This place is probably lovely for an afternoon tea or a picnic but it will result in a disgraceful lunch experience. The name ‘Bland’ford Manor is rather apt.
Very serene outdoor setting, peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Nice to go for a walk around the area as there as some really beautiful spots. Food took a bit long but the waiter was very professional and friendly so was worth the wait. The food was pretty good too. Glad I found this place!
