This is a "great save" review. Four of us went for an early lunch and were there right at the open (11am). We were seated right away and then the waiting began... The tables around us were being attended to but no one stopped by ours. After more than twenty minutes we flagged down one of the staff to inquire as to who our server was. This was when Chris, the manager, flew into action. After apologizing and explaining that the table where we'd been seated should have been closed until more wait staff was on shift, he tended to us personally for the duration. After getting our drinks, he brought out two appetizers courtesy of the house for our wait. After a delicious meal (3 burgers and the Macho salad), he informed us that the entire visit was on the house. Well done, Chris! We knew the reputation of your establishment and didn't want to be disappointed. You didn't disappoint. Worth every cent. Excellent service… and food and drinks are Perfect. It’s a pretty small restaurant but the lighting, music, and overall ambiance makes it so nice, perfect for a date night. The margarita was EXCELLENT, strong and savory, my husband and I each had 2. Our server was so kind and speedy. I asked what the most popular dish was she immediately said the chicken sandwich and my oh my was it good. I usually avoid chicken sandwiches thinking they’re all the same, but this sandwich was one of the best. We also had the fish sandwich or something like that, also very good. We liked it so much we recommended our friends to go there, they went later that same day and also enjoyed everything about the White House. Highly recommend and will definitely be back on our next Aspen trip. Really tiny place and a little pricey. The food was very worth it and really delicious. Saw all the reviews on here recommending crispy chicken sandwich and omg, so good. The nachos came with two dips- guacamole and spicy mayo. Very tasty! Best experience in Aspen. We came at 6pm on NYE and sat at the bar within 25 min. They don't accept reservations but honestly, it's worth it. Food is f'ing delicious- everything we got was excellent. Sandwich special (which was like a Cuban with slaw), French dip, deviled eggs, kale salad with rotisserie chicken, and brussel sprouts. We loved everything. The bartender actually took time to make our drinks technically well, and with great ingredients, and make sure we were happy by checking in frequently (thanks Sandra !!). Vibe was relaxed, warm, and cozy. I recommend this place, not only as the best in Aspen, but somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at generally. Service was amazing. The staff were friendly and efficient. Not a big selection of food but what we had was great. The waitress made great recommendations for our restrictions. We had the chicken sliders with chicken substituted for avocado. It tastes way better than it sounds and I was surprised by how much I liked it. Will definitely stop by on our next trip to Aspen. THE GLAMOROUS VISUAL

The fish sandwich was Big and Delicious! The tavern inside is not too big, gets full and a little noisy over lunch time. I wish they had coat hangers or racks.
