Fawn and Lynn were absolutely wonderful at the winery. They were so knowledgeable and helped us make sure our bride had a flawless bachelorette party! Fawn even turned us onto her favorite wine there which I simply couldn't leave the winery without a bottle of. I highly recommend the same as she, which is the Pink Catawba.
Pretty solid concert venue - sound quality was great. I was surprised that they let people park camp chairs all the way up to the stage. At similar venues, there's been a designated area (further back) for chairs. It was nice to not have a giant mosh pit at the front (chairs created spaces between people), but it seems like an accident waiting to happen. (If for whatever reason people needed to leave immediately, all those chairs would present a huge hazard, especially because there weren't clear walking paths through them - just a giant sea of chairs.)
Outhouse lines weren't bad if you timed it right. Beer/wine lines were long and slow, but you were able to buy a six-pack/a bottle of wine at a time. Coolers were allowed in, so you could bring ice in with you and just wait in the booze line once to stock up. Food trucks were okay in terms of selection and wait. Nice that you were able to bring food in.
Getting out after the show was a bit of a nightmare. Good luck leaving if you're not one of the last to arrive - at each row of cars, people try to force themselves into the line leading out, so you'll be waiting ages on all of them to exit before you can inch along. (I mostly blame the people of PA for this - not the vineyard or concert employees - but prepare yourself to be patient.)
It was okay. The entertainment was pretty cool...one man band😊But the one of the bartenders/servers was not tht nice, informative or forthcoming with information pertaining to what they we're offering 😒😒🤔🤔...I asked about what another customer was ordering in regards to samplings and she just said "wine samples are over at the barn"??? But I was asking about the samples she was doing for another customer 😒😒🤔🤔....so yeah not to customer oriented 🤨🤨😵 but anyway the entertainment sounds pretty good and our wine isn't bad.
Love the wines at The Vineyard at Hershey & beautiful view from the tasting room! Great selection of wines, reasonably priced & friendly staff. Christine is always a pleasure to work with & they are awesome with accommodating large groups. Must try!
We visited multiple vineyards on an 80 degree day in late October.
This was by far our least favorite .
The grounds are really nice although we didn't see any vines from the deck.
The bar inside had multiple taps but no signage indicating what was on tap or costs.
We didnt see anything indicating what wines were available by glass or bottle or costs.
There was a larger group of women standing at tbe bar that may have been a tour so you really couldn't even get to bar to get a drink .
The music inside was inaudible and loud for only 2 accoustic guitars as the accoustics are really terrible..
I can't imagine a full band in there and what it would sound like.
Thr inside reminded me of a church basement bingo hall with long tables and small kids running around .
We couldnt sit in there and went out to the outside deck which is long but not very wide .
There were multiple people sitting out there not drinking but smoking cigarettes in a tight area . Not very pleasant and will not return
Beautiful place with so much space. They have a pretty extensive selection of both beer and wine plus they let you do samplers that are extremely affordable up to 6 at a time. Perfect for a date or just hanging out, will definitely be back. Plus parking was easy, just a short walk to farmhouse where the bar was and there's even seating on the grass
Beautiful place! We came for the salsa class/dancing and it was fun! We heard about it from a third party that goes to zumba & it did not disappoint. Hope to come back for wine tasting at some point.
The summer music concert/festival is absolutely neither. We had attended for years and it is now not at all what it seems. Scaled down is an understatement. It is more like packed sardines on a patio for small live patio sessions (chairs on the patio touch each other and it feels like your neighbor is sitting on your lap). It was such a disappointment. I'm sorry we paid for this. You get better free "concerts" at Spring Gate and don't have to pay an admission. Plus they have much better drinks and food... Don't waste your money thinking this is The Hershey Vineyard awesome festival venue of old. Save it and go to anywhere that offers free music and better drinks. Your experience and wallet will appreciate it. I'm sorry I went.
