Looking for native meals in a serene environment then you should definitely visit here. Great Abacha and palm wine, I think the need to upgrade/change the wooden plates and palm wine jugs, they look old and worn out.

I attended an event at the Village Bistro and it was a lovely outing. The ambiance is an easy place to start this review. It is simply awesome. The aesthetics are fantastic with a theme around African culture. It's all bamboo, basket arts and so many different crannies where you can have a lovely hangout with friends and loved ones.
It has a small parking space but if you do not own a car then that should not be a problem at all. It is located in the famous Bissala road. It is very close to Otigba Junction and just by the New Heaven Junction. It's a lovely and easily accessible location.
The service is fantastic and the prices are decent. It is also a great place to hold events if you are not expecting a large crowd. If you are looking for a place to have a quiet time that won't get crowded and rowdy, this is your place.

The Village Bistro is new in town and they brought with them the Eastern traditional vibes. From the decor & the settings to the menu, all screams nativity. The place is really beautiful, the artist and decor manager indeed did great. From the environment, it can be observed that minor works might still be ongoing so we would cut them a few slacks on this till its all tidied up.
From the entrance you'll already notice the bamboo enclosed sit-out spots from where you can enjoy the fresh air & a bit of privacy. The inside space has masquerade painting on the wall which I think is really cool. The seats and tables are arranged in the traditional setting as though there's a town hall meeting about to take place 😂. I also like the raffia table mats, really cool.
The menu has purely native delicacies, though I hope native meals such as; achịcha, agbugbu na ji etc will be included in the near future. In the meantime there's abacha, ofe akwụ and the likes. For the drinks, it's basic with the inclusion of palm wine (what's a native eatery without palmy😁).
For my girls looking for a good gram worthy picture background/environment, The Village Bistro should be your next location for that TGIF girls night 💯.
The service here is good too, the people are friendly and courteous. When you visit try the vegetable snail, it doesn't come with lots of snail but it has the native spice in it and mehnnnn that tastes so good 😋. The gizzard too is tasty but chunky, you may need to ask for a knife to chop it in pieces for a better eating experience. All in all, TVBO is a place worth visiting.

I won't advice anyone to go there, they have poor customer service, you will have to ring the bell like 5 times and they still wouldn't attend to you. Cockroaches and reptiles are everywhere, their ofada is just a low budget palm oil rice with excess salt. Their security is the worst, how can you search a customer because she is a Female and she came alone, like she can't afford a low quality restaurant like "The Village Bristo". You guys don't even need to do better but be shut down for the main time.

I love this place, I love the authentic native foods and drink. Unfortunately, they did not have everything on the menu, which is all too typical for African restaurants. What they had was great.
