Loved my first visit to The Town Tavern! Though it was busy inside on a winter day, we were fortunate to be seated immediately. It's a cozy, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Service was very prompt. Lots of menu choices! We ordered the French Onion soup, which was excellent! Plenty of tender onions and large, broth-soaked croutons underneath a perfectly baked and browned Gruyère cheese topping. Every spoonful was a treat. Also really enjoyed the Patty Melt sandwich. The burger patty itself was particularly tasty, and combined with the Swiss cheese, grilled onions and perfectly crusted Texas Toast, all I can say is it didn't stay on the plate for very long. The fries were hot, also had a great crunch and came in a good size portion. Excellent experience all around. Can't wait to return! Had lunch here with the fam. We all got different choices. I went with grilled chicken salad with blue cheese crumbles. Was good, not great. Wife got a burger and fries. Another good choice. I finished what she couldn’t. Daughter got buffalo chicken tenders. Another good choice. Not busy and service was good. Place has a good atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again. We visit here about once/month. Food is always consistently good. My husband hasn’t tried any of the burgers yet- so he usually gets the meatball sub. Comes with choice of sides. Vegetarian options- they do have a veggie wrap that comes with side for around $8.00, a Black bean Burger w/ sides for around $10, Nachos with cheese, jalapeños, sour cream, salsa, etc. that’s around $11. Very filling. Tonight I got the Town Tavern salad. Very impressed with the size of it, for $10. Very good ranch dressing too! Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
