Great food and atmosphere, but expect to wait for your food for a while. My husband and I started off with drinks at the bistro first - down by the water. Loved the setup and the staff and bartender were very nice and attentive. We then had dinner at the restaurant; we got the burrata with tomatoes (would've been extra nice if it came with crostini), tuna tartare, lamb chops and lobster fra diavolo. Everything was delicious! We also got a chocolate cake for dessert, but it was just chocolate cake. Nothing crazy. Host and wait staff were all very nice and we felt well taken care of. We would definitely come back for dinner again, especially when we want to beat the crowds downtown! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I ate here on a Friday night. The service was top notch. We sat at the bar and the drinks were excellent as was the food we ordered. We received everything we ordered in a timely manner. We would highly recommend and loved the upscale but also fun atmosphere. At 7:30pm, they had a live piano player and it was fantastic. The Summer House Restaurant is a Nantucket institution, and for good reason. The restaurant has been serving up delicious seafood and American cuisine for over 50 years, and it continues to be one of the most popular restaurants on the island. The restaurant is located in the heart of Sconset, a charming village known for its cobblestone streets and brightly colored cottages. The Summer House itself is a converted Victorian home, and it has been beautifully restored to its former glory. The dining room is elegant but cozy, with a fireplace and a baby grand piano. There is also outdoor seating on the porch, which is a great place to enjoy the views of the ocean. The menu at The Summer House features fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The seafood dishes are particularly good, and I highly recommend the lobster roll, the clam chowder, and the grilled swordfish. Very good service. The bartender Igor was amazing, I tried the NY strip and the burrata, both the food and the drinks were amazing and came out pretty quick. The manager Atanasio was also on point, needed a reservation on the fly and they secured us a 6 top even tho the restaurant was busy. Live music playing all night, this place is a must. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great family place with a bar scene for adults. Outdoor seating was nice, quiet with a lovely view of the property and garden. Indoor seemed like more of a party scene with louder music but there seems to be a good balance between both. The food was all very good. Strip steak cooked to a perfect medium rare. Linguine was a little on the salty side but still pretty good. Clam chowder and arugula & watermelon salad was a great starter. Service was great. One of the better meals we’ve had on the island.

This was our second time here, worth the ride. Happy to see they are back and better than ever. Need to come back for the beach area. One of the best filets we have ever tasted. Swordfish was amazing as well. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+

Went there for a romantic birthday dinner, having gone there over the years. Nice room, they did a good job repairing it. Really noisy with lots of loud talkers and a kid playing videos, with sound, right next to us. Felt like I was at Denny’s. Asked to move and they did. Food was good, service was good. Ordered a sole special, a piece of fish with some spinach, and was quite surprised to learn on paying that it cost $85. Spoke to the waiter about it and he told us that Dover sole is very special and expensive. That’s great, but verbally pitching an entree that is twice the price of most entrees and not mentioning the price is at best deceptive. I will not go back, there are way too many other great restaurants on Nantucket. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+

The view is an A+ but the menu is limited relatively speaking but you are paying for the ambiance. There is a nice area to sit outside with perfect ocean views. The food was good overall albeit straight forward - Drinks were actually very good and surprised us as we didn’t expect it

Awful experience. The host was nice, he informed us the table wasn’t ready yet and we were invited to grab a drink. As we waited for our table and tried to order a drink….the bartender was rude and ignored us. I had to loudly request a drink menu and after he took his time and enjoyed a shot with a couple of people seated, he proceeded to take our order. He made me a watered down margarita, that was obviously clear in color and continued to be blatantly rude to myself and friends. We tried to dismiss his behavior and proceeded to our table, where we sat and waited for over 10 minutes with no server in sight. Due to this and the bartenders attitude and lack of remorse, we decided to leave the restaurant. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
