I'm very fond of this restaurant and the owners as I've been coming here for years. I sometimes get takeout and buy gift certificates for friends. I've never had a bad meal or dessert here. Everything is delicious. It's a great place to eat for singles, friends, and families. The menu has everything and there are always delicious specials listed on the board near the entrance. Great place!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Food is fine, meets expectations for diner food (fries are superb). Service and atmosphere are the best. Love that this place has "regulars," always a good sign. Ice cream serving sizes are enormous, excellent value. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fries
After shopping at the nearby Outlet Mall in Hershey we got hungry and decided to come here. It was busy, but we actually found a good parking spot. Pleasant welcome from Host and we were seated immediately. Our server, ALLY H, was excellent. Pleasant, professional, & refilled our sodas throughout our time there! We ordered the Beef Goulash on egg noodles, Jaegerschnitzel on mashed potatoes, and the classic Grilled Cheese sandwich with fries. The ‘50s deco was a nice atmosphere. Our food didn’t take too long to come out. The homemade meals were absolutely scrumptious. No food was left on our plates. We ordered dessert as well and enjoyed it to the last bite. Pricing is slightly above average, but is well worth it. We left happy and with our tummies satisfied. Definitely recommend! I really liked the vibe of this diner. It had a very retro 50 style. Very clean food was nice. Really good a bit pricey, but that's to be expectedefinitely got filled up and your money's worth I also like the fact that they had the little rides for kids outside that you can put money into which you don't see several places anymore Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great place to get breakfast in the area, we went a second day since we knew the food was good. There is nothing worse than starting the day off with a bad breakfast. Coffee and iced tea were also good. Will stop by again if we are back in the area. A super cool find. We were in the area looking for a late breakfast and stumbled on this place. I had the brisket with cheese, we also had the Greek omelette and French toast! Everything was well prepared and delicious. The waitress was great super friendly. Has a classic diner vibe and decor and food. The menu is extensive! Like huge! Getting over that you will be in for a treat! Next time we are in town we are getting some ice-cream. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I’m from Jersey, so I know a thing or two about diners. Which means I love trying diners in other states to compare and contrast the experience. The Soda Jerk diner has that 50s / 60s theme that immediately makes the atmosphere a little lighter for dining. I ate here when I was in town for the RV show and had both a lunch and a breakfast. Both menus were pretty extensive and they had some really unique choices and autumn flavors, particularly on their breakfast menu. There was lots of room, plenty of seating, and the service was terrific. Both the lunch and breakfast had sufficient portions at a reasonable cost and I’d give it two Jersey thumbs up as a diner I’d recommend and return to. I also liked being in a booth with the little jukebox on the wall. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Overall it’s a nice enough diner with plenty of options. Attentive, polite and prompt service. We initially wanted to order corn nuggets, potato pancakes and a French onions soup. They were out of potato pancakes and the server let us know they were subbing tater tots, so we gave that a pass. The corn nuggets were good. The French onion was OK. Not the traditional French onion, but again it’s a diner. Flavor was weak, and it was warm, not hot. Plenty of melted cheese but not broiled and golden brown. Topped with onion straws that had a good flavor but were rubbery rather than crunchy. We also ordered a gyro with French fries and a side of gravy and the senior porch chop dinner with mashed potatoes. The fries were hot and fresh, a crispy type but still soft on the inside. The gravy was definitely seemed like the jarred kind and had a flavor to it that I couldn’t quite place. I had contemplated getting the poutine but am glad I didn’t. Overall the gravy is not a good match for the fries and I highly recommend getting it on the side to taste it first. It was OK with the pork chops, but again if I did it all over again I wouldn’t get it on any of my food directly. The pork chops were well cooked, tender and had good flavor. The gyro was OK. The meat had some chewy spots but there was plenty along with toppings and feta. We also got a peanut butter pie to go, which was very good. We were there on a Saturday around 5 and there was plenty of parking. It did start to fill up a little later, but all seats at the counter were still open. It’s family friendly as well. The window sills next to booths could use a wipe down. Their shirts are fun and they do sell them for a reasonable price, $20. The first time at this spot, I loved it, I got a Belgium waffle with chocolate chips and strawberries, the waffle was light and yummy, the fruit was fresh, and the bacon was cooked just right. The second time I went, i actually took pictures you will see below, we all very much enjoyed our meals at soda jerk. The waitress Shelly was awesome, very knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great substitutions and, above all, great service! The atmosphere was decent, a bit of an older crowd around lunchtime. All the food was fresh, the staff was friendly, and the portions were great for what you paid for. It's definitely our new goto spot for brunch.
