I always love breakfast at The Shack! I almost always get eggs Benedict, and they're the best in the area BY FAR. This time I had corned beef with eggs. Eggs were cooked perfectly, the corned beef was crispy on the outside, and my coffee cup was never empty. Waitstaff is always great. Always. One of the last great breakfast all day type/ endless menu and combos place around. Whatever you order is cooked to perfection with super quality ingredients. I know i know, sounds like a tv ad but im being honest. If you want some breakfast that takes you home as a kid, order "The mess". Googled a place as we were driving down from Providence heading back home to NY and found this on google. The place has interesting decor all over the walls, has a nice rustic feeling to it. The counter with bar stools reminds me of the Woolworth’s cafeteria. Ordered NY strip and mash, I loved the mash with beef gravy it was amazing!! The strip steak had a burnt taste to it and did not really enjoy it, the cut seemed fine but wish maybe the kitchen had maybe lower heat on their grill to improve its taste? I would definitely try it again to see what solution they can come up with. This place overlooks is definitely worth visiting, service was also excellent. The food was great, and the wait staff were very nice. They were very busy, but it didn't take long to get the food. Everything about the place was awesome! A great breakfast location! This is truly a local staple. Definitely a breakfast restaurant. The staff here were friendly and professional. The food was good and the staff here were friendly and professional. Parking was convenient right outside. I recommend getting breakfast food anytime of day you visit here. I am looking forward to going back again soon!
