So here you go our other review on the other restaurant that we decided to have lunch at March 2 on a Saturday in Waynesville North Carolina this is a nice gem to find. because me and my wife will be visiting Ireland this May, so stay tuned for that one we started off with a couple of craft brews, Irish of course we had appetizer we shared the Codels soup oh my goodness that was to die, for my wife said a little peppery, but I enjoyed it. My wife ordered the shepherds pie and I opted for fish and chips with the fish and chips. They have three different fish options as far as how many pieces one two or three I opted for the three-piece so we were splitting that and we split the shepherds pie too. This meal was so enjoyable, so wonderful and if this is what we’re looking for when we actually go to Ireland, we’re anticipating much better taste but you can’t beat this for a small little town in Waynesville North Carolina. I highly recommend this place, if you don’t try it when you’re in the area shame on you and this place has an Italian restaurant called Angelo’s which we’re gonna go back and try their food and do a review on that in the upcoming weekends I do have some video and pictures of the food and the bar Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Style Fish & Chips

We visited here recently, ordered the steak & ale pie as well as the shrimp and chips. The food was great, the pie had a lot of tender meat in it, and was well complimented by the veggies and puff pastry baked on top. The shrimp and chips were well cooked, and the breading on the shrimp was well seasoned. The waitress and other staff were pleasant, and the creme brulee cheesecake was tasty, but needed more of that brulee sugar on the top to deliver that taste that they're probably going for. The atmosphere inside was awesome, really dark and moody. Great bar, and selection of on draft beers. I'd definitely return to try something else on the menu, which has a large selection of comforting, stick-to-your-ribs meals. Definite awesome spot to check out when you're here. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The fries were a favorite of all. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the chicken schnitzel was tender and juicy. The atmosphere was a little too loud for our party, but we did manage to leave before the live music began. It's definitely worth the drive from Bryson City! Service was exceptional, and the food was so delicious! Highly recommend the Shephards Pie and Pumpkin pie cheesecake! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We stopped here on a whim and the food was so yummy and comforting and our waitress was the sweetest! I’m vegan and unusually we didn’t even look at the menu before going in. With surprise I saw the vegan cottage pie! I was ecstatic and it didn’t disappoint! The tandoori fries are also amazing! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The location, decor, and ambiance was spot on. We had the Ruben egg rolls and they were ok. They had a ton of food selections inspired by Irish and Scottish cuisine that we didn't try but I heard good things. We would definitely be back. I brought my family here because we had been to Scotland and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food of the pubs we had visited. We were able to park in a parking lot right next to the location, which was great. We walked in and found that we could get ourselves some menus and find ourselves a seat. It was pretty hard to find a seat because it’s very popular and we had five in our party, but we found one relatively quickly. We ordered at our table, which was an easy process, the people working were very kind and patient. They have a water dispenser at the bar for those who need it, which was really cool. On to the food… my pictures are not the best because I was so excited to dig in that I forgot to take a picture when the appetizer and my meal came out. The haggis egg rolls were interesting, but I don’t think they were my favorite. The chicken schnitzel was absolutely amazing, though. Very nice and crispy, and a hefty portion. The lemon went very well on it. We also got the mac and cheese, and it was not as spicy as I had anticipated, so it was really good. All in all, we had a great time here, and I would love to come back to try more of their menu.

Soft opening was as successful a Friday evening as we could expect as customers. Owner greeted us in line at the door, nice smile on the face, we had people go grab a table and figure out the order. Wait in line ( as it's a soft opening without complete wait staff) and enjoyed conversation with tourists and neighbors. Menu was complete traditional pub food, bar was fully stocked ( not all soft openings have either of these things). When food and drink arrived (3 pints which are actual pints as is typical of all pubs in US, Ireland, Canada and UK) 3 double Jamesons, one order of Irish Nachos and a loaded fries or something like that. Party included 1 person (me) that has spent over a year across the UK, years at pubs in Canada and EU, and a local restauranteur and a local retiree also well traveled. We all LOVED it, the tables around us loved it. Table next to us loved their fish and chips and mushy peas (with horseradish) two under 30 local gents. We'll be back when traffic is normal in the place and after grand opening. Great addition to the local restaurant landscape, great sense of community and brotherhood inside as local pubs should have. Oh, and beautifully decorated and bar staff was fantastic! Welcome neighbors! (Thanks to Courtney and Spencer at Axe and Awl for highly recommending before the opening as I had misssed this was coming) We've been back many times since! Always a great place for happy hour, in season great for Sunday brunch and a football game and a fantastic time overall! Our first visit was a very positive and enjoyable experience. My wife ordered the Chicken Schnitzel and thoroughly enjoyed the Schnitzel, mashed potatoes and pea and carrot vegetables. She also ordered Lucy's Fur Coat cocktail similar to a Moscow Mule. I ordered the Bangers & Mash and thought it was very tasty. Three small sausages with mashed potatoes and pea and carrot veggie. I opted for an Irish Red Ale that was smooth and frothy. Our server Deanna was excellent and attentive. As others have noted the ambience is subdued but not dark. We will be back.
