If I could give 6 stars for service, I would! The farm-to-table attitude carries over in the friendly kitchen attitude; with fresh ingredients, freshly made. We had a stunning buffalo wrap and a simple caesar salad, with fresh made bread turned into fresher made croutons. We also grabbed cookies to go. On a quiet and rainy Friday, this riverside spot was a warm welcome, and one we hope to return to on our next trip to Maine. This is the best restaurant on the Kennebec. The food is outstanding. The Mediterranean sandwich may be the best sandwich I’ve ever had. So deliciousq. Prepared by kind-hearted staff who know and care about good food. The view of the river from the bar is the best of any restaurant on Water Street in Augusta/Hallowell/Gardiner. Walked in and Monica, the owner of the restaurant, greets me with a smile and friendly welcome! I sat on the river and ate an amazing sandwich, The Mediterranean, suggested by one of the friendliest and knowledgeable waitresses ever! Then my new friend Tom proceeds to serenade the area with his friendly personality. All around great service, food and atmosphere. Great place to get brunch and dinner. My mom has been visiting me in Maine recently and this is her favorite place by far. The owners are so friendly and say hi to us whenever we go. The atmosphere next to the river is great. The food is amazing too! Great ingredients. Simple delicious meals. Good beer and wine selection. Service and everyone else is extremely friendly.
