What an excellent place to have a bite to eat. The location is beautiful and unique. The food is top quality and the prices are reasonable, especially for how amazing the food is. The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful. You just can't go wrong with this remarkable restaurant. Highly recommended. What a beautiful place, although be careful sitting outside, the bugs were everywhere. Was also not fond of all the cats on property, but others at our table didn't mind that. We even got visited by a curious trash panda (raccoon). Appetizers were amazing. We ordered the fondue, which was so tasty. Also, for the stuffed mushrooms, which were some of the best I've had. I have to say that we all ordered steaks, and none of them were cooked correctly. I ended up sending mine back. A $50 steak should be cooked to perfection. This is the reason for the two stars on the food. It had the potential of being great. We are in Texas! Enough said! The service was amazing, and their Cucumber lemon drop was mind-blowing. I encourage you to order your steaks less cooked than you normally like, and maybe they'll be cooked correctly. Update: the manager reached out to me to apologize and offer to make things right. Thank you Annette! I used to love The Pump House. The pecan chicken is delicious. I made a reservation and went to eat there and was waiting for over 20 minutes for a waiter. Nobody came, and the table next to us was sat and waited on immediately. We ended up leaving after 25 minutes of being ignored. Very dissatisfied. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone in the future. Place looked great and seemed really high-class. That being said I figured I could get a pretty good medium rare steak. Well it finally came out and it was overcooked and completely uneven when it came to color. While it did get pinker as I got to the middle, it was still tough and to be honest it tasted pretty bland aside from the burnt flavor. I asked the manager about it and she claims that's how it should be cooked (at the time I was in the middle of the steak and it was a little pinker). I would be willing to try this place again and would suggest it to others, but I would definitely order my steak rare. Buddy of mine got the shrimp and they were delicious. I expected more from this place to be honest. The environment is really nice but the food could be way better. I got the Tuna and it was cooked way too much. The quinoa had a very overpowering jalapeño flavor, and the sauce was okay. I would have preferred more acidic flavors/better seasoning. The plating job could also use improvement.
