Mixed experience dining here. Good food. Nice ambiance. Nice salad bar. Their bread and maple butter is supposed to be a big deal there and on a Saturday night at 6:30 dinner they said they were out of bread. We were celebrating a birthday and we asked if they do anything and they said they offer a slice of cheesecake or something else. They brought it out and sang and that was nice. In past experiences in this situation this slice is complimentary... not so much here. Beware as you're charged $13.00 for a slice of cheesecake. Yikes! We have enjoyed so many meals here over the years. Honestly, it was an easy decision to host our wedding reception at The Publyk House. Their addition was recently finished and the perfect venue for our 80 guests (plus room for dancing). Staff is wonderful… service has always been prompt and genuinely kind… we LOVE and appreciate the salad bar… and Frank’s food is reliably delicious. There is a stunning view of Mount Anthony and the Bennington Battle Monument, and the restaurant is conveniently located next to The Harwood Hill, a boutique motel, another place I highly recommend.
