Food tasty. Added wine, perfect with slight richness. Staff friendly, but services slow due to many customers. Cool pirate atmosphere. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Nice atmosphere with decent service. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had, and the biscuits were great. The pecan fried chicken was disappointing at best; I fully expect fried chicken to be crispy, but this was a soggy overcooked mess. I also had the rum manhattan and can't recommend it; it was VERY heavy on the vermouth and left a cloying aftertaste in my mouth. The old fashioned wasn't bad but it was a light pour and my double tasted like a single. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Biscuits Cornbread

We were very excited to eat here, we did make reservations to be sure we could. Food was good, not really anything special but good food. The waiter we had was withdrawn and quiet and didn't check on us for refills or if anything additional was ever needed. The atmosphere lacked anything I imagined, very plain, rather boring. The gift shop was great! Sadly, since the dining was so disappointing we weren't as excited to purchase merchandise. For the price and what we experienced, I'd say look down on River Street for a great meal. The Shrimp Factory was phenomenal! What a neat place to soak up some history. Great atmosphere and the service was outstanding. I had the shrimp and grits, very tasty. Food was excellent. Close to the River Walk if you want to walk off dinner afterwards. Must visit! Worth a stop for the history, go somewhere else for the food. Steak frites were okay. Nothing special. Collared green were fantastic. Sweet potato fries were good. My girlfriend had the "award winning" pecan crusted fried chicken. Well, it was anything but award winning. Not sure who gave out the award. It was mediocre at best and the sauce for it was nothing special. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
