Great bbq! The brisket is a must!!! The meats are cut by weight and sides are self serve. Get the mashed potatoes and yeast roll, the Mac and cheese is a pass for me tho. They even offer free dessert banana pudding and peach cobbler with ice cream when you dine in.

The Brisket is good, but was the meal in this picture 32 dollars good , no server, tip not included in the price ??? No. I also got, a small drink that is it.
If you have had Kansas City joes burnt ends, In my opinion those were better. I’m not being a jerk, but never in my life have I paid this much for brisket and a side. I do not feel like the cost equaled what I got, not what I go back at that price.

Up on entry into the establishment we were greeted with warm welcome and smiles. The staff was friendly and helpful explaining the process being our first time eating there. I absolutely love when I taste the chef’s creations and do not have to add anything to enhance the taste. My taste buds was happy and the food was comforting. It was a little bit pricey but he said… “I’m well worth it and deserve so much more😍 Everything was cooked to perfection and dessert was FREE
Overall I give this restaurant a 8n1/2. We’ll be back again that’s for sure 🙌🏾

Beans with Bacon Mac N Cheese and Green Beans
Hands down one of the best BBQ spots we've eaten at, and we've eaten at a lot across Texas, and the US. The Original Roy Hutchins in Trophy Club, TX is good good! And worth every penny considering the serving size and cost of meat these days. The sides are self-serve. The meats we had were super tender and full of smoky flavor. We had just about all of it: Brisket (Sliced and Chopped), St. Louis Ribs, Chopped Turkey, Brisket Burnt Ends, Sausage and OMG that "Texas Twinkie" is something to reckon with!! Sides were: Mac n Cheese, Coleslaw, Broccoli salad, Cowboy beans, Green Beans and (Corn--which it was a little undercooked and salty to us). Self-serve "free" desserts included banana pudding, peach cobbler, and soft serve ice cream (vanilla or chocolate). We had banana pudding and soft serve chocolate ice cream. Both were good. So good we had two helpings of each! Overall, this place lives up to the hype in our opinion. Do yourself a favor and go. If you are a true BBQ fanatic, I think you will appreciate/agree this place is about as real Texas BBQ as it gets!

1 2lb Brisket Burnt Ends
Solid BBQ spot with great sides. Was a little steep on the price but still close to what you’d pay at other BBQ stops like this one. Good assortment of meats. Large assortment of sides. Wife and I had the brisket and ribs. Brisket was tender and just right amount of beef to fat ratio, but seemed to be missing the extra smoked flavor. It was good but not great, 7/10. Ribs were great though 9/10. Potatoes with cheese and bacon was 10/10. Fried okra 7/10.
Tried the different bbq sauces, the Tangy was fantastic. Free white bread, pickles, onions, jalapeños. And free banana pudding and peach cobbler was an unexpected surprise. Cold day so seating was somewhat limited. There is plenty of outdoor seating; good when weather is nice. Overall good place and would return. All the staff, from meat cutters, cashier and busters were very friendly, which is a rarity these days. Kudos to the team.

1 2lb Brisket Burnt Ends
Fantastic barbecue and the feel of a small town friendly service! We got the family pack with moist and lean brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño cheddar sausage, and a side of Texas Twinkie. 3 sides were mac & cheese, potato salad, and very generous amount okra. They have free desserts, which consisted of banana pudding, peach cobbler, and vanilla or chocolate ice cream.

Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage Sandwich
Went to this location today from Austin Texas and we were one of the first to get the best of the best. We had brisket and Texas Twinkies! Brisket was moist and the team here was able to give me the cuts I wanted. The Texas Twinkies are amazing full of brisket and cream cheese wrapped in bacon and not that spicy. Definitely the Twinkies are a meal by themselves. Jalapeño Beans were delicious and corn was also on point. This place offers free deserts after the meal and the cobbler was good but it is sweet so beware. The banana pudding is amazing I wanted seconds but I stopped myself!!!! The staff is great here and very friendly and attentive. This is one of the top 5 BBQ places in the State of Texas! Thanks for the hospitality and hopefully we can return back one day!!!!

Mac N Cheese Beans and Fried Okra
The food was really good. The only reason for missing a star is that some of the brisket fat wasn't quite rendered down. It had started to render, but a little more time would've gotten it there. The bark was phenomenal! The jalapeno cheddar sausage was probably the best I've ever had, the brisket burnt ends were delicious, and the fried okra was exceptional. The pork belly burnt ends left a lot to be desired too.
The service was fine, not overly friendly but it was perfectly acceptable. And the atmosphere was top notch - it's what you want from a Texas barbeque joint. Felt industrial & sturdy. The focus was on the food, as it should be.

Sliced Brisket and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage
We wanted to try The Original Roy Hutchins BBQ to compare it to the Hutchins BBQ location in Frisco. The Original Roy Hutchins BBQ is just as good! We went on a day off from work around lunch time, and it had a decent amount of people inside. The wife ordered the pork belly burnt ends, and a one meat moist brisket sandwich with potato salad and corn. I ordered the one meat sandwich with jalapeno cheddar sausage, pulled pork, and ribs. I had BBQ beans for a side. Everything we ordered was delicious! The standouts for me were definitely the pork belly burnt ends, ribs, and jalapeno sausage. Each was perfectly cooked. We also had some of the dessert, banana pudding and peach cobbler and both were really good. This location is closer to us so we will definitely be back!
