Cute little breakfast place and we were grateful that they were open on MLK day and during a North Texas winter weather event. The service was good and the food was delicious. I was amazed by the omelette as it was cooked differently. I guessed that it was baked instead of fried and had a perfect amount of yummy cheddar cheese on top. We had to ask for a kid's menu since it was not automatically provided.

Apple Pancake
We spent our honeymoon in Dallas, and stopped here for breakfast on our way back home. Service was excellent. Place was very clean. Now to the food. My wrap was good however the tomatoes tasted very old in the wrap, just like they've been in a container for a couple days. Also added Turkey to the wrap and they charged an additional $5 for added turkey. That's a lot.
My husband was not impressed with his pancakes, said it tasted very eggy like French toast. Biscuits and gravy was okay. Overall good but not worth the price.

I so in love 😍 the original pancake 🥞 house 🏠! I do feel like the menu has changed since Covid (seems smaller- less combinations available). I couldn’t find any sides on the menu but our server was very knowledgeable, so that was fine 👌🏼 . I do wish there was a sampler plate that gave you just a 1/2 size portion of everything! It is so hard to choose between traditional breakfast 🍳 🥓 , pancake 🥞 breakfast waffle 🧇 breakfast, omelette 🥚 🧅 🫑 🌶️ etc.
The omelette is huge! 💪🏻 Definitely shareable.
The slab bacon 🥓 is 🔥 👨🍳
I had the 🥑 Benedict and I shouldn’t have- it was like warm guacamole rather than slices that were removable.
Everything was prepared well, and the service was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Down-Home Biscuits and Gravy
The bacon was exceptionally excellent, best bacon I have ever had. Thick cut, cooked perfectly. The coffee was amazing as you actually get cream with your coffee when you request it rather than having to open little plastic cups that have a minuscule amount of cream or having to use powder.
This is my new favorite breakfast place. I’m guessing the lunch is great as well but I haven’t had that yet. Will do update when I do.

Bacon Steak
So this was my first time going to the Original Pancake House. When we arrived we were seated immediately and our waiter was Gamil. Gamil was a great waiter, and even though he didn't have some of the exact prices of things on the menu, he had extensive knowledge of the restaurant as an organization.
After our talk, we ordered and had the pecan banana pancake phenomenal.
The buttermilk pancakes were ok
Toast was good.
The sausage and bacon were thick cuts and were seasoned well. Also, they had chicken sausage substitute, but no turkey sausage
Coffee was good and strong.
The orange juice was freshly squeezed, and you could tell, but at over $5 a glass, I liked the coffee a lot better.
Overall, it's not the best breakfast I've had, but I would definitely give another try.

I hope you like your OJ fresh. Cause that’s what you’re getting. It is amazing. Even on a busy Sunday, the GM, Chelsea was up front helping with the extreme busyness. She made it a personable experience, but not only just calling out a name, but actually coming over and addressing me personally and remembering me from when I first put my name on the reservation list. Amazing service led by an amazing management team. Great job, I will definitely come back. I also recommend the Irish Benedict.
