What's the Italian word for amazing? I don't know, but it could be Giuliano! Admittedly, I only had the meatball sub (which was amazing), but there are easily 100 items I want to try. Safe to say, I'll be back.

Amazing 60+ year family owned Italian deli and market in old town Gardena. You can't go wrong with the quality and value of the food. During the work day you probably want to call in your lunch order. Great place for holiday and special celebration catering orders.😉

Very good Italian deli store to find delicious Italian ingredients for your recipes. They have premade dishes that are ready to eat, A small bakery if you are looking for fresh bread, they also make fresh pizza to order. The Parking is limited in the area but usually not a problem.
Look, I get it- its a family run shop that is both an Italian grocery shop and seat yourself restaurant, just like the other one in Torrance. I mean for $9, the Giulio is better than most sandwiches you'll get, but as an east coast Italian-American, I was dissapointed. The meats and cheeses were ok, a little thicker than I would like but they were about the consistency of subway taste- not too expressive but not too bland. The bread though... the bread was where I lost all hope. Like you would put a hogie in, it was entirely soft and the crust had no crunch. I... I want to like this place, the bread behind the counter looks decent... why don't they make a sandwich on semolina (and why don't they make a long semolina loaf and not a semolina round)? I mean, if I can't trust you to make a decent sandwich, how can I trust that your sausages or brachioli are worth a damn.
I've been going here for years. The Italian food is delicious. Have a great variety of salads, ham, sausage, desserts, wine. They even make their own bread. Service is on point. Great workers. Reminder sometimes there's a line. But for all amazing food there's a wait. Enjoy

So far strawberry shortcake and the pastrami sandwich was delicious 😋. Will try the chicken salad sandwich 😋 tomorrow. The oatmeal raisin cookies are soft and sweet. So IF YOU don't mind driving to Gardena it's well worth the price. Just get there before 6p.
