This place is so nice! Our food came in huge portions and everything was so delicious! I highly recommend the mussels and steaks, and they were cooked to perfection. It's been about 2 years since some friends of ours took us here. When we asked them what they recommended to eat, they told us that anything they had gotten this far was very good. Well, to date, that has been our experience as well. It's kinda our default place to take our friends, out of town visitors, etc. They have been consistently good food and service. Prices are commensurate with what you would expect for an establishment like this. I anticipate our experience with this place will continue like it is for the foreseeable future. Highly recommend this place. Warm atmosphere and friendly staff make this place inviting. The food was quick to come out for our party of 6 and we were seated right away with reservations. Margaritas were a little on the weak side but the food more than made up for it. I ordered the surf and turf and the filet came out exactly as I ordered it (impressive, since most places overcook and don't get the temperature right). Our waitress was quick to refill our glasses and kept the alcoholic ones coming. UPDATE, Sept 2023: Skipped the pasta. Went with marinated skirt steak. It was excellent! The hush puppies with honey butter were very tasty, the mushroom risotto was so so. They do it generic risotto and then spooned mushrooms or several other different things, on top of it depending on which risotto you get. Not bad. But not outstanding. The skirt steak. However we very very good. And the service was excellent. ------------- Very happy with the service. It was prompt and friendly. Food was another story. Shrimp tortellini and shrimp pesto penne were literally swimming in oil. A quarter inch of oil. See pictures. If they think this is how pasta should be prepared, they need new cooks and new training Also, skip the sangria. It tastes like grape jelly. Points for the mezcal margarita, which was quite good. The bartenders are apparently untrained on anything other than the menu specialty drinks. In other words, not real bartenders. Twice, with two different bartenders, I've ordered "a dry martini", and received a glass full of dry vermouth, with a splash of gin. Both times the bartender said that they thought "dry" meant very little gin. Some basic bartending training would go a long way toward improving the experience. Once had a server sit down at our table, and proceed tell us how poorly the staff are treated, and how the management of the restaurant constantly steals their tips. Not a great look for the server, or for the restaurant itself. We go back about once a year. It's never a horrible experience, except this last time when the food was swimming in grease.
