8/2/15: We stopped at the Lookout once previously for beers, just a quick stop. Today (Sunday), we spent a little more time, but still only ordered off the appetizer menu. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. We sat inside at the bar and received fantastic service (granted, the bar was slow compared to the outdoor patio). Since we ended up ordering off the appetizer menu our expectations where not high, but the food was still very good (bbq chicken flatbread and sliders). Price was extremely low for what we got (4 tall domestic beers and 2 apps), under $21 in total. We actually planned on using our Metro Dinning Club card, but passed on that when we saw the happy hour prices. We definitely plan to go back and spending some time on the patio and would recommend this bar to anyone. High value, laid back atmosphere, good service, decent food. There was supposed to be onions and mushrooms in my breakfast bowl. There was none. It was supposed to be on ancient grains and rice,instead it was on tots. I was trying to avoid deep fried foods. 3 of us ordered coffee., we were brought half of cup each. When we asked for more the waitress took our cups back into the kitchen to refill them. It was strange to take our cups to the kitchen than bringing the coffee to us and pouring it at the table. Was not hot. Wonder what kind of coffee we were served. Random Saturday night out to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I’ve been here a few times for various events, but nothing prepared me for the night I just had here! Was it crowded af? Yep! Was it one of the most eclectic groups I’ve ever encountered? Also yes. Did I have the best time I’ve had in a good while? Damn straight! The cover band was incredible and service was good despite the number of people there. Love this place! Atmosphere: 5

An often recommended place, great atmosphere, and good food! They have a good plant-based burger as well, if you're looking for that. However, the service has been underwhelming each time I've gone, with multiple servers standing around the sit stand (outside) almost with not much of an idea on what to do and where to sit us, despite the entire outside area being very open at times. Bit of an odd experience to just stand there for minutes without getting seated. The more popular times with bands and karaoke create a great atmosphere though! Visiting from Chicago and these are the best bar ribs I've EVER had!!! Staff and patrons are amazing. Lady on my right side gave me a free drink ticket for literally no reason, I played the raffle a few times and had a blast, the couple on my left made me feel like I've been here a million times, then the owner comes out of nowhere after hearing me tell everyone in the bar how amazing the ribs are and gives me a free bottle of his famous rib rub!!! The Lookout is a neighborhood bar with history in the area. The atmosphere is cozy and seems like a great camaraderie between guests, and servers know people by name. Stopped in for a Friday lunch, everything is sticky - the chairs, menus, tables, floor, everything. There's a layer of dust on the decor that predates the pandemic. You'd think with so many staff on duty that someone could find time to dust. You'd also think with so many staff that the service would be fast, quite the opposite. I'm glad we got tall beers because once you see your server, they rarely check back. If you like fried food, this is your spot. Most or all of the food comes straight out of the fryer, think heavy, heavy grease. An all-you-can-eat, broasted chicken buffet was going on, but watching people handle chicken pieces and put them back was a huge turn-off. Also, an odd note here, the servers were coughing constantly into their wrists or elbow - wet, heavy coughs - and then serving drinks and food without washing. GREAT atmosphere. The outdoor space is fabulous. Park for kids, sand volleyball, bags, and waterfall landscaping was beautiful. Came for lunch on a weekday. It was empty outside. The ghost pepper cheese curds are not for the faint of heart. The schezuan green beans are also spicy but cooked perfectly. Thr steak bites were also pretty good. Our FAVORITE place to go for taco salad. One look at this picture and you can see why! Inside atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired but the patio is gorgeous on a beautiful day.
