Enjoy Benicia Public Pier & Beach by default, the guests' piece of advice is to visit this bar as well. Greek and Spanish cuisines are what The Loft Wine Bar boasts. Serving good beef wellington, filet mignon and fillet steaks is the hallmark of this place. That's a nice idea to order tasty banana dessert, banana split and crème brûlée. Some guests recommend delicious chardonnay, draft beer or champagne at this spot. This place is famous for great coffee. There is a great view from this bar. Baxters Restaurant and Bar is a DESTINATION. This intimate and lovely establishment never fails to disappoint. I've gone several times and each time the experience was exceptional. Charming and with a wonderful selection of cocktails, appetizers and mains, my latest visit was for my birthday celebration. I've always gone out of the way to make sure I celebrate my birthday (it's really close to Christmas, plus I have a family member with a date really close to mine) so making it a special event is always my focus. Man o Man did they come through. We had the celebration in their Speakeasy Room, which is reminiscent to the Roaring 20's with a separate bar, comfortable seating for up to 10/12 people and just a specifically joyous occasions. My guests were ALL thrilled with the experience. Benecia is a beautiful town and has a welcoming, small towny feel to it. I recommend everything from the beet salad, flatbreads, beef wellington, sirloin, pork tenderloin, anything vegetable and whatever your tastes desire. I've had several items and tasted the guests samples, so I can say I've had almost everything here at least by tastes. Make this a destination, whether for a date night to a small party (or buying out the restaurant for the night......it's THAT COOL! This is my fifth visit. Love the Bolognese, the Filet Mignon. Signature drink, a Smokey Old Fashioned is fire. Today's test run for their brunch menu was fantastic. I had the Pulled Pork Hash, Home Fries, Pomegranate Rosemary Mimosa and ended with an expresso. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Everything from the moment we walked in was outstanding. From the greeting to the , artful crafted cocktails to the seamless service and then there is the food. “Chefs kiss”. Had the scallops had to stop myself from licking the plate. A great way to have a relaxing, delicious evening with my lovies. I booked Baxters for my wife's birthday. We had a large party, with 8 adults and one child. We were in our own room (speakeasy) and it was thoughtfully decorated with birthday wishes. The staff was friendly, helpful, and we never felt like we were not being cared for. The cocktails, appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all excellent. Hands down one of the best restaurants we have been to in a long time. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and I wanted to make sure she enjoyed herself. The staff delivered big time! They were all very professional and accommodating the entire time. The setting was very intimate, and the food and drinks were amazing! We will definitely go back. Love this new restaurant in Benicia. It's very small and intimate. We were a party of four, and each of us thought their own meal was terrific. These days I usually prefer take out, but this did not seem like the sort of food that would travel well, so we walked downtown for a date night. Kenneth seated us and served us, and all the other reviews about him are absolutely spot-on, he is kind, charming, and really really good at his job! This is the first time I've had the Walking Fool wine, and I will seek it out again! My husband got the peach lemonade, but he requested that it be about half soda to reduce the sweetness level. I was very impressed that Kenneth brought over a small glass of the lemonade to be tested. That was a nice touch. 🙂 The flatbread was a nice way to start. We both really liked our main dishes, the chicken cordon bleu and the seared sea scallops. There was nothing left of any of that! I would recommend either of those dishes. The bread pudding was very cinnamon forward, and could have used some sauce. That did not detract from our experience, however. I'm glad that the new owners have added some items to the menu, and I hope they continue to do so, as well as possibly embracing some seasonal dishes, perhaps as specials.
