The Lakeside is a very quant restaurant. 2/16/24. I had the Haddock fish fry and my wife had the fried clam dinner. They both were off the chain dinners. Dinner was soooo good i ate it all. The only thing missing was the lake. LOL.

Went here after First Day Hike at Selkirk Shores. The waitress let us know right away that she was the only wait staff due to staff shortage. Our order was taken promptly and even though we had to wait a little longer for our food, it was worth it! All four of our meals were hot, fresh and perfectly cooked to order! Even tho the waitress was extremely busy, she made sure to check in with us regularly. We left happy and full! What happened after our visit is truly the best part of this review! I left my favorite wool sweater/coat there! I live 1.5 hours from there. I called frantic and the waitress reassured me they had the sweater. When I told her I lived so far away, SHE SAID THEY WOULD MAIL IT TO ME!! I was so touched by this act of kindness. I offered to pay for the postage but the owner said, no. Their exact words, "this is how we do things here." I received my sweater TWO days later--$17 worth of postage! I was so touched by the generosity and kindness the people from Lakeside showed me, I would highly recommend their restaurant...plus the food was tasty!!

The liver and onions never disappoints! The haddock dinner was very good. The service was very nice and friendly. Definitely would go back. Oh make sure you get dessert! We live 45 minutes away but it is the drive.😜

Used to be one of our favorite places. They've slipped over the last few months. Service is always great. Small portions of sides. The prime rib was like eating the pepper shaker. Burgers are small and dry. It's really unfortunate to see.

Anyone who comes here and does not order the garlic fries... You are missing out on the best side ever... I was actually going to skip dessert and get more fries, thank goodness I didn't because the desserts were over the top. Outstanding place!!!
