Great burger. Hard to tell which building to walk into. But the greeting is welcome once you enter. Smashed burger is made thin with high heat so it has that crispy edge flavor. I had the jalapeño popper burger. The spread is great. Nice milder heat. Tons of flavor. Bun is ballpark or something off the shelf. There are other options such as a wrap or Texas toast. I might try that next time. Pool tables and a full bar give you options while you wait. Guessing this place is happening at night when I’m in bed. A great place to grab a burger and a beer. Newbies to the area and this was the first place we got to experience. The tater tots were AMAZING! My husband and I also got burgers which were delicious as well. The bartender/server was so kind as well (Katie I believe?). Very attentive and you can tell she genuinely loves her job/the restaurant. She told us so much about the place and was just so kind. All around it was a great experience and we will definitely be regulars (likely back again tonight) when we can get the occasional night away :) Thanks for making me feel at home here! The food was great. Definitely not family friendly but the service was excellent! Unfortunately it seems like an episode of "bar rescue" inside because of how dirty it is. If you don't look up, or side to side, or down, you will be fine. Edited to follow up to the response; First, I realized AFTER this post, that y'all's response game was strong to these reviews. ((I secretly love it, and good job)) Second, the amount of dust on everything (those light fixtures hanging feet above peoples food) is not an "oops forgot one day" BUT I sincerely hope y'all do spend a morning cleaning front of house... Behind the bar (and bar top) could use a nice deep clean. Two factors that could have been different for us than other clients- we sat at the bar (there are not a lot of seats so I assume most people don't get the view we got) and I worked in the food industry and as my manager used to say "if the front of the house is dirty, imagine what the customers think the kitchen looks like" Again, the customer service was great, the food was good. I pushed past all the eye sores and did enjoy myself... But I want to be honest so that hopefully y'all do take a second during opening and see some of these things and work on them. This is one of my family’s favorite places in Summerville. The food is delicious, and the staff is always attentive and fast. I also really love that they give back to the community and promote other small businesses. The Knot is much more than your average dive bar. Service was awful..our waitress took our order and never came back. I had to go get drink refills and get my own check..the food was good however it took 45 minutes to get a hamburger and tater tots! The poor cook had to leave the kitchen and bring our food to the table! This is nothing but poor management! I wanted to like this place since I hear so much about it but it’s a NO for me! My son took me for lunch. I got a smash burger and tater tots. The burger was seasoned to perfection and my tots were good and crispy. Service was amazing! Our waitress was friendly, efficient and professional. Her recommendation for the "adult" ice cream for dessert....... yyyyyyyyeeeeeeesssssssss! Their homemade Irish Cream ice cream was better than any other "adult" ice cream I have tasted. Highly recommend!! The food is absolutely delicious! The onion rings are my favorite HANDS DOWN along with the burgers. I love the dive bar feel of the place and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. This little hole in the wall bar is a hidden gem when it comes to burgers! They make a smash burger that is probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Their sides are HUGE and if you’re into pickles, they offer a pickle flight. Trust me, once you try this place; you won’t want to get a burger from anywhere else.
