About
The Kitchen Table East London is a hidden gem in the heart of East London. From their freshly made coffees to their delicious breakfast and brunch dishes, they have something for everyone. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, with a Bohemian vibe that makes you feel instantly welcome. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is cooked with passion, love and an eye for detail. The menu is varied and mouthwatering, featuring dishes such as salmon Eggs Benedict, tofu bowls, and CHAR SIU PORK with sides/condiments. There's also a great selection of freshly baked pastries and gluten free cake. On the same premises, there's the East London Small Producers Deli, where you can find locally grown fresh produce, specialty sauces, frozen berries and much more. All in all, The Kitchen Table is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a great meal in East London.

One of the best salmon Eggs Benedict breakfasts I've had. The restaurant is an intimate setup (not too many tables inside or outside). I enjoyed my seat at an outdoor table. There were a few patrons seated but I was still so surprised by how quickly I received my order. The food was fresh and tasty, the atmosphere relaxed and Tamryn, my server, was super sweet and friendly. Definitely one of East London's gems. Arriving 8am sharp, I entered the establishment, with all tables open and a friendly waitress guiding me to my table. After looking at the menu, I ordered a Latte and a Bacon Eggs Benedict, which both got served to me within 30mins. The bacon was to well-done, making it difficult to cut or eat. But it is not the first time I’ve been here, so I know that it was most likely a trainee that was in the kitchen. Overall it was an excellent breakfast, even with well-done bacon. The Kitchen Table provides a unique dining experience in East London of all places and soon wish to try a dinner experience, if I get the chance. It’s only on Wednesdays and Fridays, I was told to book a table in advance because it comes full quickly. The Kitchen Table has the most delicious coffee, the friendliest and most efficient staff, everything on the menu is top notch and the atmosphere is just perfect for a quick catch up with close friend's or to break away from the office. Harold and his T.E.A.M run a tight ship and one can expect smooth sailing once you're in their presence. I'd rate it 100 stars if Google allowed me. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
One of my favorite places to visit. Love the freshly prepared meals. Good service. Nice space , parking nearby can be an issue but all good because the service, atmosphere and food make up for this by far. Last night we enjoyed the most spectacular 4 course meal. The tastes, textures, colours and aromas excellently paired. Every ingredient complimented each dish from the first course of Pear asparagus and potato Parmesan beignets, followed by Mussels on sourdough with fennel chives white wine and cream reduction. By now I thought they couldn’t top that. Girl Kanghi ,as she’s fondly named, delivered our 3rd course Fillet with the finest sliced beetroot, basil courgette pesto and nasturtium with barbecue jus. I was writing this down as we went because I loved the flavours that were put together and I didn’t want to forget them when I looked at my photos later. We sipped our wine slowly throughout the first three courses that we brought with us. We were charged a minimal corkage of R50. Then the final course to sweeten the entire experience was Pecan financier chocolate sauce frangelico and coffee jelly with fennel flowers. I’m writing this review because mostly when I travel we love to experience great food and I usually write a review when I do. I don’t when I’m at home for some weird reason. Definitely needed to express our shear enjoyment of the entire experience last night at the Kitchen Table. Had you been nominated for best fine dining restaurant anywhere in South Africa, you can hold your own against the very best of them. Well done Brian and I look forward to your next 4 course series in the near future 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person R 450–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Loved the vibe and the wonderfully cozy atmosphere, amazing food and great service. Not the cheapest meal around, but it's worth the overall gourmet experience. Easily my new favourite spot in EL for an occasional spoil. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
What a great little restaurant. The food was 5 stars, unique and delicious. It's a quaint restaurant, requires a booking, small seating areas but good atmosphere. The service was very good and fairly priced for East London. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 250–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A breath of fresh air, sticking to what makes them unique and special. Hats off to the TKT team. My only wish is they opened more times in the evening so could visit more 😉 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
