Outstanding service and wonderful ambiance! We were seated in a very cozy outdoor tent strung with lights. The scallops were seared to perfection... Hands-down the best scallops we've ever had!! The ramen was incredible. The muhammara appetizer was absolutely delicious. And both zero-alcohol cocktails on the list were fantastic!! We highly recommend The Kitchen. We can't wait to return! My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Kitchen in Jackson for Valentine's dinner, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Amidst the two reservations my wife had made, I opted for The Kitchen, a decision I'm immensely grateful for. From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance captivated us with its sheer beauty. The service, spearheaded by John, was impeccable, adding a layer of warmth to the evening. However, it was the culinary journey that truly stole the spotlight. To kick off our evening, my wife indulged in the Winter Marg while I savored The Last Flight, both tantalizing our taste buds and setting the tone for the evening ahead. The Tempura Shrimp and Cabbage starters were next on our agenda, with the shrimp perfectly suited to my palate, albeit slightly spicy for my wife. The Cabbage, dressed in a delicate ginger vinaigrette, offered a refreshing prelude to the main course. For our entrees, my wife opted for the Seared Scallops with black garlic risotto, flawlessly executed with each scallop seared to perfection. Meanwhile, I ventured into the realm of Braised Lamb, a dish that exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds, a massive success. As we approached the grand finale, we were guided towards the flour-less chocolate cake with soy caramel, a dessert recommendation that left us in awe. Its thick, rich texture served as the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable meal. Reflecting on our experience, and while I could only see the other dishes coming out of the Kitchen, I couldn't help but speculate that with a few adjustments, maybe a set menu, they have the potential to effortlessly earn a Michelin 1-star, solidifying its place as a culinary gem in Jackson. In summation, our evening at The Kitchen was nothing short of extraordinary, leaving us eager to return and explore more of its culinary delights. For anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Jackson, I wholeheartedly recommend The Kitchen without hesitation. Please excuse my photo with a first bite already taken :) I was overzealous. Absolutely loved this place! Came in with my wife and another couple on Tuesday night and this place was hopping! The only negative thing I have to say is that we got seated pretty promptly and then forgotten about for about 20 minutes. When we finally got someone's attention we were rushed through the menu. Right then and there, we were told we had to order everything, from cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert. I was bewildered and not expecting much. I think our waitress was just an anomaly though, because the food was outstanding! Therefore I'm not going to let her get in the way of my rating... We started with a couple of appetizers that included a shrimp dish and dumplings with chicken and peanut sauce. The dumplings were off the hook, but the shrimp were a little bit plain. I had a cucumber martini to start (when I ordered it, the waitress just stared at me for a second, told me she didn't think they had any cucumbers, ran off to look in the kitchen for two or three minutes, and then came back and said she could do it and then continued taking our dinner order - weird). Like cucumber martini was pretty good My wife had one of their specialty drinks and I got to say I wish I remember the name of the thing cuz it was darn good too! Our friends both had vodka martinis. Why do people drink vodka martinis? Martinis are supposed to be with gin! Anyway, appetizers were pretty good! My wife and her girlfriend ordered salmon. It was huge, it was delicious. It was outrageous. It was a hit. My buddy and I both had the scallops. My oh my... This boy was mighty satisfied. Those scallops came on top of rice dyed with squid ink. That was good stuff! My buddy liked that too! We had a fine little bottle of French rosé that worked well for both the salmon and the scallops... Perfect! Get a reservation. Get to The Kitchen. Don't be late. Don't hesitate. You'll thank me later! Just ignore any rude help! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Flavorless across the board. Seems appetizing to an untrained eye (or mouth) but if you are traveling from a city with good food then you will be upset you dined here. Has all the bells and whistles of a pig dressed in lipstick trying to compete for attention in Brooklyn or Venice or Oakland or DC, but sadly falls a light year short. This may sound pretentious but don’t worry, my partner is from a trailer park in Tucson and grew up thinking The Cheesecake Factory was a nice meal- she wanted to send everything back. Delicious upscale dinner restaurant. Delicious! We got the smoked trout appetizer, tempura shrimp appetizer, cabbage salad, duck noodle stir fry, and cookie skillet with homemade ice cream. It was delicious and we would definitely return if in the area again! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100
The Kitchen is the ultimate Flavor party in Jackson. From start to finish The Kitchen was phenomenal. The staff could not have been nicer. The food was absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The Tempura shrimp and raw Fish was amazing. So many flavors were popping off in our mouths. The Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The bun was so fresh and the garlic aioli was delicious. The meat on the burger was cooked to perfection. It was a medium well burger but it still had lots of pink which didn’t disappoint me. Hats off to The Kitchen on a dinner well served. Highly recommend reservations and I highly recommend this restaurant. Cheers!
One of the few upscale restaurants in the area. Modern farmhouse style decor, their outdoor seating was fun and could accommodate our big group of 12 easily. Servers were knowledgeable and friendly. We had some unique desserts and appetizers over there and would highly recommend the place Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Rounding down from 4.3, and really just because the food was very, very good, but not extraordinary and so the value wasn’t there, taking the experience down a notch. This is a well-run restaurant (part of the area’s Fine Dinjng group) and it’s interior space is interesting. Likely a sushi spot in a former life, it’s lighting is unique and worth a gander. Super skillful service with a lean waitstaff and capable food runners. Our drinks were good, not great, and the entrees flavorful and plentiful. The apps were really good! We had three - gem salad, edamame salad and tomato/cucumber salad and they popped, especially that cucumber salad dressing. The patio seats about as many, or more, as the dining room, but likely is a better experience as you won’t be looking at the inside of the bathroom while you eat. Don’t ask me why the door to the women’s room is not outfitted with a knob that shows vacant/occupied. I would do that immediately if I owned the place, so guests for whom the door is in line of sight don’t have to look at the sink and glaring light throughout their meals. (People leave the door 1/4 open to indicate vacancy.). It’s a nice decor in their, with penny tile on the wall which is cool, but given the orientation of the dinjng room, a fix to this would be good. We loved our dinner at The Kitchen...everything delicious. My favorite was the the crab cake with aioli....one of best I’ve ever had! The halibut and red snapper entrees also excellent. Only somewhat disappointed with vegan cheesecake....not bad but not remotely close to cheesecake.
