During our recent visit to the Kingfisher Restaurant, we were attended to by Rozaan, and I must say, her service was outstanding. She made us feel exceptionally welcome and catered to our needs with great attention and professionalism. The food was delightful, and the ambiance of the restaurant added to the enjoyment of our evening. Kudos to Rozaan and the Kingfisher team – we’ll definitely be returning! We had the most incredible Sushi today at Kingfisher! It was so freshly made and just perfect… we ordered twice as we could not get enough. We come here often to eat fish. We drive all the way from George as the food is wonderfully fresh and you can sit on their balcony and look at the beautiful ocean. Pretty was our waitress and she was so delightful and wonderful! A lovely lunch served by a beautiful and friendly lady by the name of pretty. She told us about the pensioners specials and what a delicious bargain they were! We have just moved to Grootbrak and our dining experience was really great. We will definitely be back again. I decided to try the Creamy Garlic Mussell starter before ordering the main. Mussels were tough and were served with a thick yellow sauce loaded with gelatine that was bitter and didn't have a garlic taste. I won't be having a main. The amazing ocean view saved the day. The service was good although the restaurant was empy. Polite waitress. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Fabulous food, should have skipped the delicious mussel starter to leave room for the calamari which was a great sized portion. Our waitress Rozaan was so friendly, helpful and polite she was an absolute treasure. Definitely worth eating here for value for money and service Meal type Dinner Price per person R 350–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Calamari
Had a meal on Saturday new Portuguese mussels on the menu and also calamari platter half rice and fries… at 1 pm I paid the please of food poisoning and diarrhoea… days later still trying to recover. This ruined our holiday here further in Capetown Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Quick early supper...we were able to order cocktails aside from the usual drinks. Food was wonderful! I enjoyed the Mediterranean Hake. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person R 200–250 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
After seating and wait for waiter the manager ask us to move to another table because there were trouble with seatings. Thereafter 6 of us were served with warm wine. To ladies wait another 20 minutes for their warm wine. We asked for ice and waiter serve our table of 8 with one glass of ice tubes. After an hour and 15 minutes 3 of our group of 8 food arrived. I waited an hour and 25 minutes for my food. Food were cold and wine were warm. Waiter only said sorry after complaining. Kingfisher Mosselbaai will never see us again. We had high expectations which unfortunately were not met. The pina colada tasted like a premix syrup over crushed ice. The starter of snails in garlic sauce was not very good. The snails themselves were fine but the garlic sauce had an incredible amount of huge chunks of raw garlic. I had the seafood curry for mains, which was a bit bland and quite oily. It also states it comes with prawns but it came with 1 prawn on top which was very hard to deshell. My partner had the surf and turf and the steak was the tastiest thing of the evening. Since the combo comes with just a small amount of mussels (which is the only representation of ‘surf’ on the plate) he opted to top up with a portion of prawns which unfortunately had the same issue of not being easy to deshell. Service was friendly but slow. We felt neglected a few times and had to grab our own serviettes from a nearby table as we were given a total of one (1) serviette. Much later after asking, we received more. There were long periods where we had used plates and empty glasses just standing on the table, and no drinks. It was not easy to get our waiters attention to assist in more drinks or the clearing of the table I ordered a small sushi plate with the main meal. This only arrived about 15 min after we were done with mains. Judging by the temp of the sushi, i predict it had been standing (forgotten) on the pass for a while. Overall we were disappointed and felt like it was an expensive mistake. Unfortunately i believe we might have had a better (and cheaper) experience at Spur nearby.
